Tech Nomads, a tech event to promote new opportunities in the sector, will take place at The Complex, Arran St East, Dublin, on Wednesday, 22 February.

The inaugural event will bring tech talent together with a number of tech companies who have jobs to offer. The event is specifically tailored for those with tech experience who are seeking a hybrid or remote role. Tech Nomads will allow employers to place their teams, tech, and culture in front of the relevant talent in their field, ultimately strengthening their offering and facilitating growth. The event will also feature a schedule of engaging panels and tech talks from a range of industry leaders. Companies due to attend include Jaguar Land Rover, Unum, Sidero, Kneat, Carelon, Ericsson, together with a host of startups and companies backed by Enterprise Ireland. The event is also supported by TechIreland and Grow Remote.

Speaking ahead of the inaugural Tech Nomads, Tracey Carney, CEO at Dublin Tech Summit and Catalyst Media, said:

“We are excited to launch Tech Nomads and we see this event as a sign of Ireland’s strength in tech, not only in Dublin but across the country. Throughout Ireland, there are employers that can provide exciting new roles for tech industry professionals who may have been affected by recent layoffs, whilst also offering a rewarding tech/life balance. We look forward to welcoming the industry to the event on February 22nd.”

Commenting on the partnership with Tech Tribes, Karen Cohalan, Fintech, Financial & Business Services, Enterprise Ireland, added:

“Enterprise Ireland is delighted to partner with Tech Tribes on the inaugural Tech Nomads event. The Irish enterprise sector remains stable with a strong and diversified base, particularly within Enterprise Ireland’s technology and services portfolio, where we continue to see a high demand for talent and skills.”

“The event comes just at a time as the global tech industry is contracting and consolidating resources. It therefore provides an opportunity for innovative Irish companies, ranging from SMEs to businesses of scale from right across the country, to showcase their technology, personnel and work–life benefits to a considerable pool of invaluable tech talent.”

“We look forward to working with the team and our tech client companies in what promises to be a fruitful one-day event for both the companies recruiting and for skilled individuals on the hunt for new opportunities,” she added.

Speaking about their collaboration with Tech Nomads, Natalie Dalgarno, HR Business Partner, Carelon Global Solutions Ireland, commented:

“Carelon Global Solutions Ireland is excited to be partnering with Tech Nomads 2023. We opened our Limerick Innovation Centre in November 2021 and we now have over 150 people recruited, with many working remotely across the country. We value diversity and are passionate about continuing to be a ‘Great Place to Work’ certified employer. Through the development of AI and data analytics solutions, our Innovation Centre in Limerick plays a key role in healthcare by developing software to enable people to live healthier and longer lives.”

Tech Nomads is the first event of 2023 by Tech Tribes, a new event series created by the teams behind Career Zoo and Dublin Tech Summit. Tech Tribes has partnerships with the top 30 tech employers outside of Dublin, as well as Dublin-based startups who also facilitate hybrid and remote working.
