Award-winning Irish waste collection operator, The City Bin Co., this week celebrates its first birthday in the Dublin City area. To mark the occasion, the company is unveiling six new state-of-the-art vehicles for its fleet operating in the capital.

Since shaking up the market with its high-profile entry to the Dublin city area a year ago, the company now serves over 30,000 customers, with hundreds more signing up every week. Such has been the demand for their fresh, customer-focused service, that The City Bin Co. has doubled its staff numbers (from 55 to 110) since last December.

The latest €1.5mn investment coincides with a renewed customer recruitment drive offering quality service at the competitive price of €12.50 per month. The company has also teamed up with three other Irish companies – Eason’s, Brady Family Ham and MyToysDirect.com – to offer customers a range of discounts in the lead up to Christmas.

Gene Browne, CEO of The City Bin Co., said: “Dublin residents have long been yearning for a waste collection service that they could trust, and a company that consistently delivered on its promise. Our waste collection proposition is all about customer service and about fundamentally changing the relationship that people have with their waste provider. We are delighted to be celebrating an extremely successful year, particularly in such a crowded market and having been the victim of arson soon after we launched here. Rising like a phoenix from the ashes, we remain relentlessly in expansion mode and look forward to rolling out our award-winning service to more homes across Dublin City in 2014 and beyond.”
