The latest All-Island Fuel Mix Disclosure and CO2 Emissions report shows Vayu Energy has a 100% renewable-energy rating for all electricity supplied to its customers.

The Commission for Regulation and Utilities report also showed that, in terms of CO2 emissions, Vayu has zero emissions compared with an overall figure of 0.367 tCO2/MWh on an all-island basis.

Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Vayu Energy, Liam Faulkner, said: “As a business we are doing all we can to increase the proportion of electricity sourced from renewable energy. It is heartening to see more Irish businesses seeking access to renewable energy sources to reduce their carbon footprint and limit the environmental impact of their activities. We hope that this continues to drive investment in renewable sources of electricity in Ireland to impact energy production.

“We are thrilled to achieve the 100% rating yet again, which is testimony to our continued efforts. We are also committed to supporting our customers who are looking to reduce their energy consumption through energy-efficiency initiatives, which ultimately reduces their energy costs.”
