The international real estate firm Hines and also Peterson Group have today announced that WeWork will be One Central Plaza’s new anchor tenant.
This announcement comes just a week after planning permission was granted by An Bord Pleanála for the redevelopment of the former Central Bank site on Dame Street.
What will the new Central Plaza comprise of?
Central Plaza will include retail, restaurants and cafés. The existing plaza will also be expanded to create a new dynamic streetscape towards College Green and along Fownes Street and Cope Street. This will establish a link between Grafton Street, College Green and Temple Bar.
Overall, Central Plaza is part of a masterplan that includes properties 6-8 College Green, No. 9 College Green and 2 Central Plaza, comprising the former Annex and Commercial buildings on Dame Street.
Other new Dublin office spaces
Another example of modern workspaces is Iconic, a new dynamic company in Dublin, offering customisable workspaces for collaboration and shared work environments.
Joe McGinley, Founder/CEO of Iconic, states the function of what the organisation does:

WeWork at Central Plaza
The WeWork development will see an open-plan, breakout meeting space, incorporating BER A3 and LED lighting, creating a modern work environment and a desirable space to work.

WeWork has leased space across eight floors at One Central Plaza, with its occupation to take place during Q4 of 2019.
