In our Ones to Watch section, we highlight some of the top movers and shakers in Ireland. This week we feature GetVisibility.

What is it?

GetVisibility is a cyber-security product company that develops, sells and supports a ground-breaking AI-driven software platform, which discovers and protects unstructured data such as documents for large enterprise customers, allowing them to protect against data loss and data breaches.

We utilise the latest technology in Deep Learning AI for data classification and blockchain for data lineage, to give companies visibility, control and a strong dynamic understanding of their data as it is being created.

Our software is designed to process and classify unstructured information as it is being created with an unprecedented level of classification confidence. With GetVisibility, a company gets a complete registry of all files that contain Personal Identifiable Information necessary for GDPR. GetVisibility allows companies to quickly visualise their data footprint where new and changing data risks have become evident thus allowing for proactive data management and security.

Who’s behind it?

Ronan Murphy and Mark Brosnan are the founders with Artem Kalaitan and Derek Coetzee driving the product development and operations.

How is it funded?

We have seed funding from private investors and Enterprise Ireland are supporting us with an R&D grant as a High-Performance Start-up.

Future plans?

Having just won the Tech Start-Up of the Year at the it@Cork Leaders Awards we are primed & ready for growth. We have an established Irish customer base and are now planning a significant expansion into North America in January 2019. We are also currently focused on developing our product offering even further, by adding advanced anomaly detection and data lineage capabilities based on a blockchain-based distributed audit log for proving of data governance trustworthiness.
