Kevin Moore has had over 30 years’ experience working in the broadcast and professional video hardware and software industry in Ireland. He has project-managed several major installation projects both in Ireland and abroad, including TV stations, post-production facilities, and news and graphics installations. He is a Director of CT Ireland (formerly known as Ion Solutions), an NEP live events company.

What was your first job?

I started as a Junior Service Technician working in language labs towards the end of the 1970s. A long time ago, I guess most people wouldn’t know what a language lab is now.

What would you regard as your greatest achievement to date?

Professionally, it’s being part of the team that managed the acquisition and integration of our company by Creative Technology last year.

In three words or less, how do you define success?

Respect, satisfaction, results.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?

Figure out the difference between important and urgent, everything is urgent but not everything is important.

How do you motivate yourself and your staff?

By continuously keeping in touch with the latest AV technology, getting a buzz out of a job done well, and always being curious. If you’re enthusiastic and energised, this spreads throughout your team.

How do you relax?

Reading, cooking, and walking. And travelling for leisure whenever I can.

What’s your motto?

Treat others with the respect that you would like to be shown.

What are your aspirations for the future of the business?

To continue to be Ireland’s leading AV services and integration company, and to make sure we stay at the forefront of where the technology leads, but most importantly, to be seen as a great place to work for our team. If you have a great team, the company will prosper and thrive.
