David McRedmond, CEO

An Post

McRedmond was appointed to the position of CEO of An Post in October 2016, for a seven-year tenure. The Dubliner had previously headed up TV3 and transformed it into a major player in Irish broadcasting, prior to its sale to Liberty Global in 2015. The 2017 annual report showed a jump from losses of €12.4m in 2016 to profits of €8.4m in 2017 (against forecast losses of €61m), and volumes in the relaunched parcel business up 30% on the prior year. 

 


Dee Forbes, Director General

RTÉ

Dee is the first woman to hold the Director General role at RTÉ. Before joining RTÉ she was President and Managing Director of Discovery Networks Northern Europe. After graduating from University College Dublin she moved to the UK in 1989 to begin her career in the advertising agency Young and Rubicam.

 


Denis McCarthy, CEO

Fexco

Denis was appointed CEO of Fexco in January 2015, having previously held the position of Non-Executive Director. Denis has a degree in Mathematics and founded Annadale Technologies, a software development company specialising in the design and development of web-based transaction processing applications. Denis also founded Aviso, a payments software company.

 


Derek Kehoe, CEO

BNP Paribas

Appointed as CEO for the BNP Paribas Group in the Republic of Ireland in 2015, Derek has over 25 years’ experience in banking, having graduated from UCD with an Honours degree in Economics in 1987. He joined BNP Paribas in 2002, since when he has held a number of senior roles in capital markets in Dublin and London, before most recently being appointed Deputy Head of CIB in April 2014.  

 


Dómhnal Slattery, CEO

Avolon Aviation

Dómhnal began his career in 1989 in marketing with Guinness Peat Aviation and GECAS. 1994 saw him introduce his own company, International Aviation Management Group (IAMG), which delivered aircraft advice and investment-banking services. He was Chief Executive of RBS Aviation Capital from 2001 to 2004 when RBS acquired IAMG in 2001 and continued to be a non-executive director until January 2008.

 


Donal Murphy, CEO

DCC

Donal joined DCC as Head of Group IT in 1998 having previously worked with Allied Irish Bank plc. He was Managing Director of DCC from 2004 to 2006 and then Managing Director of DCC Energy thereafter. He took over as CEO of the support-services firm in July of 2017.

 

 


Eamonn Rothwell, CEO

ICG

Eamonn Rothwell was appointed as CEO of Irish Continental Group in 1992. He is a Director of Interferry European Office A.I.S.B.L. He is a former Director of The United Kingdom Mutual War Risks Association Limited, Interferry Inc and The United Kingdom Mutual Steam Ship Assurance Association (Bermuda) Limited. He is a past executive Director of stockbrokers NCB Group. Prior to that, he worked with Allied Irish Banks plc and Bord Fáilte Eireann (The Irish Tourist Board).

 


Eamonn Sinnott, Vice President and General Manager Intel Ireland

Intel

Eamonn Sinnott is Vice President, Technology and Manufacturing Group at Intel Corporation and the General Manager of Intel in Ireland. Sinnott joined Intel in 1991 and has held a variety of factory management positions in Ireland and in the USA. Eamonn became the factory manager for the 300mm start-up/ramp of Fab24 in 2001 before taking over as the plant manager in 2006.

 


Edel Creely, Group Managing Director

Trilogy Technologies

Edel Creely has led Trilogy Technologies to become one of the leading managed services providers across UK and Irish markets. Edel was instrumental in the formation of Trilogy Technologies in late 2009 following the acquisition of IT focus and the merger of Team DBA. She was Chair of the Irish Software Association (ISA) from 2013-2015, and appointed to the board of Ibec in 2015, serving as President for the 2017/18 year.

 


Edmond Scanlon, Chief Executive

Kerry Group

Edmond joined Kerry in 1996 through the graduate programme from University College Cork. He performed several roles before relocating to the US in 2004, including three years in Commercial Financial Management for the Consumer Foods business. On arrival to the US, the was ultimately promoted to VP Operations for the Supply Chain and Financial functions. He was appointed interim chief executive in February 2017, returning to Ireland after 14 years abroad, and officially took over from Stan McCarthy in October of the same year. 

 


Emmet Browne, CEO

Nuritas

Emmet joined Nuritas as CEO in March 2015 and holds more than 25 years of international experience with some of the largest Life-Science companies in the world such as Pfizer Nutritionals, Wyeth Pharmaceuticals and Nestle. Emmet is the former Chairman of the Blanchardstown Institute of Technology and was Vice President of the Irish Pharmaceutical Healthcare Association.

 


Eric Horgan, Country Manager for Ireland

Elavon

Eric was appointed as Country Manager for Ireland in 2015, with over 14 years of experience in the Card Payments industry under his belt at that time, seven of those at Elavon, including roles as Vice President of New Product Innovation and Head of Product Management for Europe. He is currently a member of Elavon’s senior leadership team in Europe with responsibility for the Irish business, leading 400 staff between sites in Dublin and Arklow. He is a specialist in ecommerce, strategy, product development and management, as well as programme delivery.

 


Fergal Leamy, CEO

Coillte

Fergal has been CEO of Coillte since March 2015. Beginning his career in McKinsey & Company in London where he worked with many leading food and agriculture clients, he moved from McKinsey to establish and run Greencore’s US operations. He has also been CEO of Consolidated Pastoral Company, an Austrailian agrifoods business.

 


Fergal Naughton, CEO

Glen Dimplex

Fergal, Chief Executive Officer of the Glen Dimplex Group holds a degree in Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering (Trinity College Dublin, 1998), a Master’s of Science (Stanford University, 2000) and a Masters of Business Administration (Harvard University, 2005). He is Chairman of the Provost’s Council at Trinity College Dublin and was the Founding President of the British Irish Chamber of Commerce.

 


Fiona Flannery, CEO

Depfa Bank

Fiona Flannery was appointed CEO of DEPFA Bank Plc following the transfer of the DEPFA Group to the German state owned FMS-WM in December 2014. Prior to that, Fiona was the Chief Risk Officer at DEPFA Bank plc since April 2010. Since joining DEPFA Bank in 1994 she has held a number of senior positions including Head of Credit Risk & Credit Advisory and Global Head of Public Finance, Corporate & Financial Institutions. Prior to joining DEPFA Bank, Fiona worked at PFIZER International Bank Europe and IIB Bank. 

 


Fiona Muldoon, CEO

FBD

January 2015 saw Fiona join FBD as Group Finance Director Designate and appointed an Executive Director and member of the board. She was appointed Group Chief Executive in October of the same year. Fiona has a rich background in finance with stints at the Central Bank of Ireland, XL Group and Bank of Ireland.

 


Fionnuala Meehan, Country Manager Ireland and Vice President of Google Marketing Solutions EMEA

Google

As Google’s Country Manager Meehan heads a 6,000-strong organisation, while juggling the lead role with her ‘day job’ as Vice-President of Google Marketing Solutions for EMEA, managing 600 people who work with small and medium businesses to get them online. About 70% of the Dublin office work in jobs related to servicing EMEA sales, including publishers and advertising.

 


Francesca McDonagh, Group CEO

Bank of Ireland

Appointed Group CEO in 2017, Francesca is one of the leading bankers in Europe and has helped advise UK governmental initiatives on encouraging more women to take on top jobs in the banking sector. She worked at HSBC for 20 years where she held top positions in the Middle East, North Africa and Hong Kong, and earned an OBE for services to banking.

 


Frank Murphy, CEO

Monex FS

Frank Murphy, Monex FS Founder, Owner and CEO, invented Dynamic Currency Conversion (DCC) in the mid 1990’s. The DCC service was first implemented in Ireland in 1996 with Hertz Rent-a-Car Franchise becoming the first international customer for Monex in 1998. Monex is the largest global provider of DCC solutions and integrated systems solutions tailored to local requirements while supported by a global network.

 


Gareth Lambe, General Manager Ireland

Facebook

As a General Manager, Lambe is responsible for the health and success of Facebook’s International Headquarters in Dublin, employing over 1,600 people, with plans to double that figure announced in March of this year. Lambe has held a variety of roles in Facebook since joining in 2011 from his previous role as Director of Merchant Services EMEA at PayPal.

 


Garrett Synnott, General Manager Ireland

Cognizant

Garrett is General Manager for Ireland at Cognizant and sits on the Technology Ireland Board at Ibec. Prior to joining Cognizant he worked with HP/Hewlett-Packard in a number of roles, most recently in Data Security at HPE Security, he is deeply experienced in Global Supply Chain / Value Chain Management.   

 


Gavin Slark, CEO

Grafton Group

Gavin joined Grafton Group plc. as a member of the board and Chief Executive Designate in April 2011 and was appointed Chief Executive Officer in July of the same year. He is currently a Non-Executive Director of Galliford Try plc., a UK house-building and construction group. He was previously Group Chief Executive of BSS Group plc.

 


Gene Murtagh, CEO

Kingspan

Appointed to the board in 1999, Gene was previously Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Kingspan from 2003 to 2005. Prior to this he was Managing Director of the Group’s Insulated Panel business and of the Environmental business. He joined Kingspan in 1993 and has a vast knowledge of business as well as building materials and energy efficiency.

 


Gerard Boylan, CEO

Tedcastle/Top Oil

In 1999, Gerard joined Top Oil as Financial Projects Manager and has been promoted through various roles, including Finance Director and Commercial Director. He was appointed to General Manager of Top Oil in 2006 and then CEO at the end of 2009. He previously worked with PricewaterhouseCoopers and is a qualified chartered accountant.

 


Harry Hughes, CEO

Portwest

Portwest is a world-leading workwear company owned and operated by brothers Cathal, Harry and Owen Hughes. After studying and then working for seven years in the UK, Harry returned to the family business in 1978. Portwest operate global distribution from bases in the UK, Ireland, Poland, Dubai, Australia and the USA, manufacturing facilities in Bangladesh, Myanmar and China, and customer support staff in over 120 countries. 

 


Ian Thom, Group Chief Executive

Viridian Group

Ian has been the Group Chief Executive of Viridian Group Limited since February 2011. A barrister by profession, he served as General Counsel to the Group since 2001 and as its Company Secretary since 2001. He assumed executive responsibility for Power NI’s supply and power procurement businesses in September 2007. He has also previously served as Company Secretary at EI Ventures Ltd., Company Secretary of Northern Ireland Electricity Limited and as European Legal Director for OSI International Foods.
