Some of Ireland’s most important financial services leaders gathered at the Merrion Hotel in Dublin city centre last night for the launch of the Financial Services 50 issue of Business & Finance.
Sponsored by Microsoft, the event saw special honorees John Corrigan of the National Treasury Management Agency (NTMA) and the Irish Stock Exchange (ISE), represented on the night by CEO, Deirdre Somers take to the podium to discuss the progress in the sector throughout 2014.
Speaking at the event, Ian Hyland, CEO and publisher of Business & Finance said: “The financial services industry in Ireland is booming. The contribution to the Irish economy of financial services has reached over €9bn in corporation tax alone from IFSC companies, and over € 350m in further tax revenue in the form of PAYE and PRSI.”
