Nominations for the Elevation Award, a prestigious category in the Business & Finance Awards, are now open. The Elevation Award, in association with Enterprise Ireland, was launched in 2018.

APC Ltd, a global drug process development company who work with pharmaceutical companies to launch medicines at an accelerated rate, were the most recent winners of the award. They took the prize home in 2021. Upon receiving the award, CEO and co-founder Mark Barrett stated:

It’s huge recognition in terms of the effort of the team over the last number of years, we’ve scaled the impact of the research and manufacturing activity on new medicines and vaccines.

The Elevation Award category was launched in 2018, in partnership with Enterprise Ireland. This award recognises Irish companies that are fast-growing and with significant potential to continue to scale globally, focused on Irish companies achieving up to €350m in revenue. The Award complements the well-established Company of the Year Award which recognises Irish companies above this revenue threshold.

Galway-based business Portwest, who specialise in flame-resilient and high-visibility workwear and PPE, were the first recipient of the Elevation Award in 2018. They are a global operation with bases in Ireland, the UK, Poland, Dubai, Australia and the USA.

The Elevation Award winners in 2019 were Wisetek, a global provider of end-to-end IT asset disposition services, operating from bases in Ireland (Cork and Dublin), USA (Massachusetts and Texas) and Thailand (Laem Chabang). Aerogen, an Irish-headquartered medical device company and drug delivery product innovator, won in 2020.
