Ireland INC to host 13th annual Ireland Day Leadership Forum at the New York Stock Exchange

US and Irish business and political leaders will gather at the New York Stock Exchange for the 13th annual Ireland Day Leadership Forum on Monday 10th March 2025.

This gathering of US and Irish business and political leaders will meet to engage and discuss US Irish trade relations, navigating challenges and identifying opportunities as a new US administration commences under President Trump.

The 2025 Forum theme is ‘Navigating Expansion and Overcoming Obstacles to Growth.’

While the past year has seen continued growth with Irish corporations expanding their footprint across all fifty US States, changes in trade policies are expected imminently and Irish corporations and their leadership teams are elevating their focus on navigation strategies to deal with potential trade tariffs and obstacles to growth while continuing to expand across the US.

Irish business has been growing across sectors including financial services, life sciences, pharma, AI tech, telecommunications, tech solutions, agriculture, food & beverage, manufacturing & FMCG and professional services, amongst others. Ireland is now the seventh largest international FDI in the United States with US-Irish trade valued at over $300 billion. Irish corporations now employ over 300,000 directly and indirectly across 2,200 locations in the United States.

Given the new US administration under President Trump, the 2025 Ireland Day Leadership Forum will provide an important platform for both US and Irish business and political leaders to engage as we enter a new chapter in US Ireland economic relations.

Leadership Forum

Ireland INC was established in 2010 with the objective of amplifying Irish business’s significant investment in the US and contribution to the US economy. Ireland Day was established in 2011 and, over thirteen years, has hosted some of the most influential business and political leaders including US Secretary of Commerce Wilbur Ross, Congressman Richard Neal, Congressman Brendan Boyle, Senator George Mitchell, Michael Bloomberg, Congressman Pete King, US Ambassador to Ireland Claire Cronin and Congressman Joe Kennedy, Special Economic Envoy to Northern Ireland, among others.

Ian Hyland, President Ireland INC, said: “President Trump has signalled a pro-business focus of his administration, however the ‘America First’ policy calls for international businesses trading with, and investing in, the United States to amplify their presence and economic contribution to the US economy. Irish and international corporations may need to adapt expansion strategies to align with that of the requirements of the new Trump administration. That said, given Irish business’s significant and expanding investment footprint across the United States it is vitally important to engage soonest and navigate potential obstacles to growth while capitalising on investment opportunities. Ireland INC looks forward to working with Irish corporations, their CEO’s and Leadership Teams and the Ireland Day Leadership Forum at the New York Stock Exchange provides an opportunity to engage at the highest level.’
