This week sees new and notable at Chadwicks Group, the Irish SME Association, and Pinergy.

Caitríona McGovern, Head of Category Management
Chadwicks Group

Caitríona McGovern has been appointed as Head of Category Management at Chadwicks Group. In her new role, she will focus on strengthening the Lightside product range.

Additionally, she will oversee the buying of over 55,000 in-store home and building products across over 70 Chadwicks Group and MacNaughton Blair locations.

She joins the team with over 25 years of experience in retail and commercial leadership. Before this, she held roles as Head of Buying and trading roles at Brown Thomas Arnotts and Dunnes Stores.

Speaking on her appointment, Caitríona McGovern said, “I’m delighted to join Chadwicks Group at such an exciting time for the business. Lightside is a dynamic and wide-ranging category with a strong opportunity to further enhance the customer offer. I look forward to working with the team and our supplier partners to build on the strong foundations in place, evolve the range, and ensure we continue to deliver quality, value and convenience for customers across the network.”

Cormac Fitzgerald, Board & National Council
Irish SME Association

The Irish SME Association (ISME) has appointed Cormac Fitzgerald to its Board and National Council.

A Fellow of the Chartered Accountants, Fitzgerald is also the principal of the accounting firm Fitzgerald & Partners. There, he specialises in the SME sector, advising owner-managed businesses on taxation, corporate governance, restructuring, and strategic growth over the last 26 years.

Commenting on his appointment, Cormac Fitzgerald FCPA, FCA said, “I am honoured to join the Board and National Council of ISME. I have always been passionate about the SME sector and the vital role owner-managed businesses play in the Irish economy. My professional focus has been on supporting SMEs, and I look forward to contributing to ISME’s work in advocating for practical policies and strong support for small and medium-sized businesses.”


Mike Holt, Territory Manager
Climb Channel Solutions

Climb Channel Solutions is an international speciality technology distributor. They have recently appointed Mike Holt as their new Territory Manager for Ireland.

He joins the team with over 25 years of experience. In his new role, Holt will be responsible for managing and growing sales and strategic relationships with Climb partners.

Commenting on his appointment, Mike Holt said, “I’m really excited about the opportunity to enhance the Climb offering in the Irish market, while delivering great customer and advisory services to our partners. Climb has very strong vendor and partner relationships in Ireland, and I’m looking forward to supporting them, as well as our end customers, as they navigate the huge changes being driven by AI and digital transformation.”


Philip Connor, Head of Commercial Development
Pinergy

Philip Connor has recently been appointed as Pinergy’s Head of Commercial Development.

In his new role, he will lead the division’s commercial strategy and performance, with responsibility for driving revenue growth and strengthening Pinergy’s market position in a rapidly evolving energy landscape.

Commenting on his appointment, Philip Connor said, “I’m excited to step into this expanded new role and contribute to Pinergy’s ambitious trajectory. The Irish commercial solar market is evolving at pace, and my clear ambition is to position Pinergy as the leading commercial solar provider in Ireland.
