Entrepreneur and investor Paul Kerley has been announced as the special honouree at the launch event, taking place at The Marker Hotel on May 25th.
Ireland’s rapidly growing fintech sector is characterised by a culture of innovation, which has led to the establishment of many globally successful firms.
Over the coming years, more investment in the fintech space will drive the shape of the financial services industry for decades to come.
The Fintech Ireland issue of Business & Finance will examine the current industry landscape in Ireland, highlighting key developments and innovations across the sector, as well as the top performing fintech companies in Ireland.
Paul Kerley will be honoured at the Fintech Ireland launch at The Marker Hotel, which Bank of Ireland Innovation is the title sponsor. Kerley currently serves on the boards of a number of technology companies including Fenergo, SmartBin and MindConnex Learning.
He works closely with the senior management team of each company, assisting in the development of strategy and offering leadership, support and advice based on his previous experience in building and internationalising software companies.
Prior to this, Kerley served as the CEO of Norkom Technologies, a global financial crime and compliance solutions provider, from its inception in 1998.
He took the award-winning company public in 2006 following a successful IPO. Norkom was also ranked on the Global Fintech 100 listing of the world’s top financial technology firms and won critical acclaim from global analysts and industry publications. It was acquired by BAE Systems for €217m in 2011.
A graduate of Dublin City University, Paul was named the Technology Person of the Year by the Irish Software Association (ISA) in 2009 and Ernst & Young’s Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year in 2000.
