“This brings the spotlight to those who have been ambitious and succeeded,” — Leo Clancy of Enterprise Ireland on the Elevation Award

Irish financial services company FINEOS were the winners of the Elevation Award at the Business & Finance Awards 2022. 


The Elevation Award category was launched in 2018, in partnership with Enterprise Ireland. This award recognises Irish companies that are fast-growing and with significant potential to continue to scale globally, focused on Irish companies achieving up to €350m in revenue.

The Award complements the well-established Company of the Year Award which recognises Irish companies above this revenue threshold. Previous winners include Portwest in 2018, Wisetek in 2019, Aerogen in 2020 and APC ltd. in 2021.

“We are sponosring the Elevation Award because we are hugley keen to see more and more ambition among Irish business,” said Leo Clancy, CEO, Enterprise Ireland at the Business & Finance Awards 2022.

“We think this brings the spotlight to those who have been ambitious and succeeded.” 

FINEOS were named as the 2022 Elevation Award winners at the Business & Finance Awards 2022. Also nominated for the award were Catapult, Cubic Telecom, Nostra, Relatecare, Siren, Taxback International, Version1 and XOCEAN.

Judges Comments

The judge comments outlined their reasons for choosing FINEOS:

“It was fantastic to see an Irish company lead the way in software as a service — SaaS. Their core values can be summarised as team players, high achievers and customer-centric and their success is attributable to the entire team living these values.”

“Last year was characterised by a strong expansion in turnover, staff and product capabilities. Its potential to scale globally is clear, as evidenced by a doubling of sales over the last 3 years — FINEOS technology solutions are used by some of the largest accident & health insurers in the US, Canada and Australia today.”

The judges also said that “FINEOS has demonstrated an impressive ability to expand internationally.”

Ian Lynagh, Chief Commercial Officer, FINEOS accepted the award on behalf of the financial services company as presented by Leo Clancy.

FINEOS is a global software company providing core software to the Employee Benefits and Life, Accident and Health industry.

They assist customers using a customer-centric approach and the FINEOS AdminSuite for New Business, Billing, Claims, Absence and Policy Administration. This enables improved operational efficiency and increased effectiveness.

“Winning the Elevation Award is a great privilege for FINEOS,” said Lynagh. “It’s an acknowledgement of what we’ve achieved in the world.”

“We’re very proud to win this award given the competition we were up against. It’s wonderful to represent Ireland in terms of our growth story.”
