Hazem is CEO and Founder of Enozom, a software development company in Alexandria Egypt that provides its customers with services ranging from web development, web design, mobile app development, and software testing. Hazem has over 14 years of experience in software development, and more than nine years of experience in management and team leadership, systems architecture, and software development.
What was your first job? I was 16 years old as a waiter in a hotel. This gave me a very special experience in dealing with people and communication. I got my first software job at 18 as a developer, and then as an instructor. After graduation, I was as a software engineer at ITWorx company in Cairo. What pushed you to pursue a career in this field? I am usually setting targets for myself. Whenever I achieve a target, it motivates me more to challenge myself. What would you regard as your greatest achievement to date? My greatest achievement is that I started Enozom 10 years ago with zero capital and it’s now recognized as the number one B2B company in Egypt for 2021. In one sentence, how would you define success? A great idea at the right time equals great success. Career-wise, would you do anything differently? I believe that selecting the right minds is the key factor to success as a technology company. I am searching for talented people everywhere to have the most powerful team, so I am usually in the process of hiring talented individuals. What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given? Don’t ever work on something that you don’t love. If you enjoy what you do, you will be able to innovate. How do you motivate yourself and your staff? I usually share my dreams and targets with my team in order to motivate them and to motivate myself. Whenever we achieve a target, we celebrate together. How do you handle adversity? When I am facing adversity, I remember that I started with nothing in my hands: no capital, no business, and I built everything that I have now with my own hard work. So, whatever happens will happen, and it will not be any harder than it was for me at the very beginning. How do you relax? I live in Alexandria, a city on the Mediterranean sea, my favourite way to relax is to have a walk on the seaside. What are your aspirations for the future of the business? I aim to be one of the top software providers worldwide, in terms of team size and quality. I also want to add value to the software industry and economy in Egypt.
