In our Ones to Watch section, we highlight some of the top movers and shakers in Ireland. This week we feature Go DigiCard.

What is it?

Go DigiCard is an Irish company launched in April 2017. It was launched to connect people on digital channels straight away. Rather than swapping paper cards individuals send an SMS that shares their digital profile via a business card microsite. This includes a bio, contact information and hyperlinks to their websites and social media channels. Since its establishment the company has sold to over 150 companies and has quickly entered the UK and German markets.

Who’s behind it?

Dublin businesswoman and entrepreneur Wendy Stunt founded the company to solve a problem she knew only too well. Wendy is an avid networker and realised that, “Immediacy is key in today’s digital world and that means that the traditional paper business card is losing its power. Fortunately the digital onset brings a solution to the problem it’s created, which comes in the form of a digital business card.”

How is it funded?

Go DigiCard is self-funded as Wendy wants to own and run her business for the long term.

Future plans?

Over the coming months and early 2018 Go DigiCard is planning to expand further into Europe and attend many business expos, whilst adding to their team. They have been nominated for two digital business awards and intend to continue to help companies to share their information via their platform.
