Following the announcement that it will be creating 100 new jobs with the opening of its second Irish office, Opus Fund Services has been chosen as Business & Finance’s FDI of the Month for August 2019.
Global fund administrator Opus Fund Services announced that it is opening its second Irish office here, creating 100 new jobs in Co Wexford.
The Bermuda-based firm is bringing job opportunities to Enniscorthy as it expects the new site to create these openings over the next five years.
Experienced financial service professionals and qualified accountants are being sought by the company.
Opus Fund Services launched its European headquarters in Dublin earlier this year after receiving the green light from the Central Bank.
The company said that the regional expansion comes on the back of accelerated growth of its North American business. This has seen global headcount increase by over 50% year to date.
Ireland as the “the ideal platform” for Opus
Opus Regional CEO, Christian Pollard told Business & Finance that “Ireland offers Opus the ideal platform with which to bring our proven proprietary technology platform to the European market with its excellent regulatory environment, it’s well established funds industry and its deep rooted connections with north America”.
While our European Headquarters remains in Dublin on Baggot Street we were looking for a second location to attract and retain the talent required to continue to scale our business and Enniscorthy offered a strong value proposition.
“We are hugely grateful for the support provided to us by the Irish government, the IDA and Wexford County Council in our decision to establish in the region and we are excited to be joining a growing cluster of financial services and fin-tech companies setting up in the South East.”
Established in 2006, Opus provides automated and integrated middle and back office administration services to hedge funds and asset management firms. Prior to entering the Irish market, it has established a footprint in Bermuda, US, Canada, and the Philippines.
The company’s new Enniscorthy offices will be located in the town’s former court building.
