Honeypot research shows Ireland has highest percentage of women in tech in Western Europe

Honeypot’s 2018 Women in Tech Index shows Ireland has the highest percentage of women in tech in Western Europe.

According to the index, the US offers the highest wages to women working in tech at €70,153 per annum, followed by Ireland (€49,052) and Switzerland (€47,814).

Bulgaria has the highest percentage of women working in tech, followed by Australia (28%) and Romania (26%).

In total Honeypot‘s study focused on 41 countries in the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and EU.

It focused on areas such as gender in the overall economy, women in tech, opportunities for women in tech, the tech wage gap, female career progression and barriers to female progression.
