A bumper week for appointments news, with several major announcements at Ding, Elkstone, Morgan McKinley Group, Enet and more.
Fiona Mullan, Chief People Officer
Ding
International mobile top-up platform Ding has appointed Fiona Mullan, as its new Chief People Officer–the latest high-calibre senior hire for Ding having recently announced the appointment of Barbara McCarthy who joined as CTO from HubSpot, and Rupert Shaw who joined as CCO from Docomo Digital also in 2019.
The hiring of Fiona–who will be based in Dublin and will have responsibility for all of Ding’s HR functions– marks an ambitious statement of intent for Ding to attract the best talent in the tech industry. Fiona brings with her more than 25 years of experience in developing people and teams within international, rapid growth organisations.
Prior to joining Ding, Fiona was VP of international HR at Facebook. She has also led HR for Microsoft in Asia Pacific and for Accenture where she headed up HR for the UK, Ireland and the Nordics.

Edward Yusko, Business Development
Elkstone
Elkstone has announced Edward Yusko as a key senior appointment to oversee Business Development.
Edward has over 30 years’ experience in high growth Financial Services and Technology companies, both in the U.S. and Ireland. He has worked in senior roles with Merrill Lynch Private Client Group in Beverly Hills, California, and more recently Bank of Ireland Private Banking and Key Capital Private in Dublin.
Edward studied Engineering and Computer Science at Cornell University, and has a Bachelor’s Degree in Philosophy and Computer Science from the State University of New York at Albany.

John Gilvarry, Chief Technology Officer
Enet
Limerick-based wholesale, open-access network provider Enet has expanded its leadership team with the appointment of John Gilvarry as Chief Technology Officer. With over 22 years’ experience in the industry, John has wide-ranging expertise and a thorough understanding of telecoms in Ireland and international markets. He joins from Digicel where his most recent role was as Group CTO for Digicel Business.
Prior to this he has held a number of roles in the mobile industry in Ireland and the UK, including O2, Vilicom, Meteor and Hutchison.

Morgan McKinley Group
John Cunningham has been appointed Commercial Director of Morgan McKinley Group, the privately owned Irish headquartered Global recruitment and talent solutions business.
John has held senior management positions in Irish Permanent and Friends First and was an Independent Non-Executive Director of Zurich Bank for a number of years.
He is also Founder and CEO at People Dynamic Solutions, a business that acts as a platform to bring HR consulting propositions to Ireland in talent retention and attraction, internal mobility and inclusion. He is also a director and shareholder in CheckRisk, an online risk analysis programme for financial services. More recently, he was a Client Relationship Director with Alexander Mann Solutions in the UK.
He has an extensive background in corporate social responsibility. He is Chair of the judging panel for the CSR awards for Chambers Ireland; the largest CSR event in Ireland. He is also a board member of the Immigrant Council of Ireland and a director of the Irish Youth Foundation since 2002. He was appointed Chair of Gaisce, The President’s Award, by Minister for Children and Youth Affairs, Katherine Zappone.
He has a long association with the arts in Ireland, and with IMMA in particular, where he spearheaded a campaign to raise substantial funding for contemporary artists in Ireland. In July 2018 he was appointed as a member of the Board of IMMA by the Minister for Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht, Josepha Madigan TD.
Enda Lynch, Board appointment
Federation of Irish Sport
The Federation of Irish Sport has announced that Enda Lynch, Head of Enterprise with Munster Rugby has been appointed an Independent Director of the Federation. The Federation of Irish Sport is the representative organisation for the National Governing Bodies of Sport (NGBs) and Local Sports Partnerships (LSPs) in Ireland. The Federation’s membership consists of over 100 NGBs and LSPs from every corner of the country.
Enda who is Head of Enterprise with Munster Rugby, has had a distinguished career in the areas of sports marketing, sponsorship and communications. Before taking up his current role with Munster Rugby he was the club’s Head of Commercial & Marketing, overseeing all revenue generation and marketing for the organisation for over five years. Prior to that he worked with the then Slattery Communications on major sponsorships such as the Irish Rugby team, The O2, the GAA All Stars, Ferrari and the Champions League. A Kerryman residing in Cork, he is a Communications graduate of Dublin City University.
In making the announcement Roddy Guiney, Chairman of the Federation said that he believed Enda’s knowledge of sport and his expertise both in sports marketing and communications would be of major benefit not alone to the organisation but also to our members:

Kevin Norton, Tax partner
Deloitte
Deloitte has announced that Kevin Norton has been appointed a partner in the tax department, specialising in transfer pricing.
Kevin brings over fifteen years’ experience with him to the role, having worked in Dublin, London and Barcelona across a range of industries and transfer pricing issues. He specialises in helping clients with transfer pricing audits and resulting dispute resolution, both in Ireland and overseas. He also works with clients applying for advance pricing agreements.
Commenting on his appointment, Mr Norton said:
