Joe Bergin, Operations Lead, Elkstone, Galway

Elkstone is Ireland’s leading Multi-Family Office Investment Group providing unique investment services to its Irish and international client base including wealth management, venture capital and real estate opportunities.

In response to the rapid growth in its business nationwide, Elkstone has opened an office in Galway city and has appointed Joe Bergin to lead operations. Bergin will focus on bringing wealth management advice and opportunities to new and existing clients in region. 

Bergin has extensive experience in various financial services roles. Most recently he worked with Ulster Bank assisting clients with financial investment and funding advice across all sectors including Commercial Real Estate, SME and Corporate Markets. The Advertising Standards Authority for Ireland (ASAI), the independent self-regulatory body committed to promoting the highest standards of marketing communications in Ireland, has appointed Kyla O’Kelly to their Board.

O’Kelly is currently a Board Director at Javelin Group, one of Ireland’s leading independent advertising agencies. She will now work with the ASAI Board in conjunction with her existing role. The Board of the ASAI is responsible for managing the business of the organisation and for drawing up and implementing the Code of Standards for advertising and marketing communications in Ireland.

O’Kelly’s role within Javelin Group includes working on the overall agency direction and vision while also overseeing the business of several key clients. Alongside brand communications and advertising output, she is a strong advocate of data-led customer experience strategies that fuel customer satisfaction and revenue growth and is a firm believer in the power of great creative ideas that inspire and change consumer behaviour.

O’Kelly is also a Board Director for the Young Social Innovators (YSI) a Charity who work to deliver social innovation training and inspiration through enabling projects with young people in schools across Ireland. Prior to Javelin, she lived and worked in Brussels training at the European Commission, followed by a communications role at an independent EU public affairs conference specialist. A graduate of Trinity College Dublin, Kyla is a mother of two and lives in Dublin.

The Advertising Standards Authority for Ireland is financed by the advertising industry and committed, in the public interest, to promoting the highest standards of marketing communications that is advertising, promotional marketing and direct marketing. The objective is to ensure that all commercial marketing communications are ‘legal, decent, honest and truthful’.

Members of the ASAI are required to abide by the Code and not to publish an advertisement or conduct a promotion which contravenes Code rules. The Code covers commercial marketing communications and sales promotions in all media in Ireland including digital (online banners, websites and social platforms), print, outdoor, radio, TV, leaflets/brochures, and direct marketing.


Deirdre Ryan, Director of the Origin Green & Quality Assurance programmes

Bord Bia recently recently announced the appointment of Deirdre Ryan as their new Director of the Origin Green & Quality Assurance programmes. Ryan has extensive experience in the food industry with a strong track record of driving impact through embedding sustainability into business strategy, most recently as Head of Corporate Social Responsibility for Lidl Ireland & Northern Ireland.

In her new role as Director of Origin Green at Bord Bia, Ryan will continue to drive the Origin Green ambition; that farms and food manufacturing businesses throughout Ireland sign up to an ambitious sustainability agenda, with progress independently measured, assessed and verified.

Origin Green plays a crucial role in driving continuous improvement across Ireland’s food and drink sector, with significant reductions achieved to date in carbon emissions on farm and in energy and water use in processing and manufacturing.


James Mailley, Sales Director, Ireland

Leading talent solutions provider, Cappfinity, gears up for global expansion with a new senior appointment.

Talent acquisition and recruiting leader, Cappfinity, has strengthened its global senior management
team with the appointment of James Mailley in Ireland.  The move is the next step in the company’s international expansion and follows successful launches in both Australia and the US in 2018, fuelled by an investment of $17.6m by Education Growth
Partners. In his new role as Sales Director, Ireland, Mailley will lead the launch of the Cappfinity proposition in Ireland. Mailley has a wealth of industry experience having spent more than 13 years as part of the sales leadership team at Monster, prior to which he also held senior sales roles at Hudson and Michael Page.

Cappfinity has chosen to establish a base in Ireland following increased interest from the market for their unique strengths-based assessment approach. With an office now open in Dublin, Mailley will focus his attention on leading the expansion into the territory.

 


Rob Pryce, Chief Revenue Officer
Xtremepush

Xtremepush, the Irish global customer engagement, personalisation and data platform, headquartered in Dublin, has appointed Rob Pryce as Chief Revenue Officer. Passionate about digital transformation and expert in customer-centric experiences that drive revenue and brand loyalty, Pryce will be a driving force behind the ongoing Xtremepush expansion.

Pryce is a senior business leader with over 20 years’ sales, commercial and operational experience in the technology and digital sectors. He most recently held CRO roles in Social Talent and with Bionic and previously worked in senior positions at global operators Microsoft and Quantcast. A founder and director of IAB Ireland, Rob Pryce was a member of the brand committee of IAB Europe, the network of online advertising trade associations.

In Microsoft, Pryce served as European lead for Sales Strategy and Brand, and at Quantcast he established the EMEA Account Management and Customer Success teams.  He was also founder of Diffiniti Ireland, building it up to become the country’s largest digital agency.
