A nominee for the coveted Elevation Award, in association with Enterprise Ireland, CWSI’s core business is the design, deployment, integration, support and management of security solutions for remote and hybrid working.

With headquarters in Sandyford, Dublin, and offices in 5 European locations, CWSI’s core business is the design, deployment, integration, support and management of security solutions for remote and hybrid working.

Founded in 2010 by Conor Headon, Philip Harrison and Ronan Murphy, the company was conceptualised after the launch of the first iPad. Company founders realised that few IT teams knew how best to utilise these devices in an enterprise environment.

Its services span security, compliance and productivity. CWSI boasts partnerships with leading technology providers, including Microsoft, Apple, Samsung, VMWare and Ivanti. CWSI is one of only 400 partners globally to be part of Microsoft’s Intelligent Security Association (MISA).

CWSI has developed its own Software-as-a-Service platform, Workplace, to streamline Digital Lifecycle Management in workplaces. It aims to make the on-boarding and management of new employees into the modern digital workplace secure, efficient and easy.

DE&I and ESG

Since 2020, CWSI has operated a fully electric fleet of company vehicles and has championed remote working since before the outbreak of COVID-19 made it a necessity.

The company says this reflects its commitment to reducing travel impact on the environment.

2022 marked the first year in which CWSI ran a number of activities to celebrate Pride month across the CWSI Group. This compliments CWSI’s ongoing initiative to encourage female team members to promote gender diversity through supplier and partner programmes.

CWSI’s Director of Customer Success, Karyn McCaffrey, was also nominated for a Microsoft Ireland Female Leadership Award.

CWSI’s extensive work with Microsoft’s Azure Academy initiative, collaborating with 23 NOTES, the Refugee Talent Hub, enables refugees from an IT background to participate in a 24-week training programme in conjunction with Microsoft partners.

Acquisitions

Having secured funding, CWSI has acquired three companies in the UK and mainland Europe; they are AVR, a UK security reseller based near Reading, BLAUD, a Dutch mobility and security specialist based in Utrecht, and mobco, a modern workplace and mobility specialist based in Belgium and Luxembourg. All three companies have been successfully integrated into the CWSI group.

These acquisitions served to further accelerate CWSI’s growth. In 2022, CWSI services reached 500,000 active end users, and it plans to double this to 1 million by 2025 through its enhanced service proposition, expertise and geographical reach.

Ronan Murphy, CEO and co-founder of CWSI, commented: “Being shortlisted for the Elevation Award is testament to the strength and capability of the team we have built and validates our European growth strategy. To be recognised for the results we have achieved, alongside some outstanding Irish businesses, makes me incredibly proud and I hope we can go one step further in taking home the award.”
