A nominee for the coveted Elevation Award, in association with Enterprise Ireland, Siren is transforming investigations for law enforcement and national security globally.

Siren was established in 2016 and currently employs 75 people in Ireland and internationally. Headquartered in Galway, Ireland, the company has seen exponential growth over the past two years with revenue completely attributable to exports.

John Randles, CEO, leads the company in powering investigations for law enforcement, national security, defence and commercial operations globally. With over 900 billion data points across 2000+ sources linked to one’s own proprietary data, integrated into the Siren desktop, the programme has facilitated more efficient work for analysts and investigators around the world.

Mission

The company’s mission is to keep people, assets and networks safe and their product can be deployed in a wide variety of use cases such as organised crime, people trafficking, vetting, maritime intelligence, VIP protection, border security, supply chain risk and terrorist financing.

Siren has ambitious plans and says it has the potential to do in the National Security & Law Enforcement market what Bloomberg has done for the Financial markets. Their vision is for a world where investigators and Law Enforcement have access to unprecedented data and analytics to solve problems that are affecting society.

Law Enforcement & Intelligence

In 2019, the company refined its strategy to focus all efforts on Government (Law Enforcement & Intelligence). A key reason for this was that their platform was valued by those doing investigations and that was in alignment with the organisation’s mission. They won key US Government clients and have continued to grow their market share.

Siren currently has a network of partners in the USA (also covering the Caribbean), Mexico, Brazil, the Netherlands (Benelux & Scandinavia), Eastern Europe, Middle East and Maylasia.

Core Analytics Engine

Their core analytics engine is what allows Siren to operate at scale and find new insights from huge amounts of data. The company was founded off of core research in Information Retrieval and Knowledge representation. The impact on the user is that the company can run analytics at the speed of search, at scale, which could normally take hours to run, resulting in massive delays in investigations

Their core has three patents granted and another patent pending. This factor is important in protecting their IP and validating the USP of our technologies.

ESG

Siren has a strong ESG program which includes a Data for Good initiative where they work with NGOs whose mission is closely aligned to their own. One such group ATII (Anti Human Trafficking Intelligence Initiative) uses Siren to search and investigate missing children who are at risk of getting trafficked.

Aaron Kahler, ATII Founder & Chief Executive said; “We are very excited to work with Siren on our mission to strategically share intelligence to combat human trafficking. The Siren platform has helped us reduce the time to do an image search for a child by 40-45%. It’s also taking 60-70% less time to generate a report to provide to agencies that are recovering children. Time is of the essence with child rescues so these time savings are making material difference to solving cases.”
