This week sees new and notable appointments at DLA Piper, Egis UK & Ireland, McCann FitzGerald, Accenture Song, DC Advisory, Click&Go Holidays, and Institute of Directors Ireland.


Maura Dineen, Country Managing Partner
DLA Piper

The global law firm, DLA Piper, has announced the appointment of Maura Dineen as its Country Managing Partner, effective immediately.

Dineen will succeed David Carthy, who has led the firm since 2019. She has been with the firm since 2019, where she played a key role in the continued expansion of DLA Piper’s Irish practice and the development of its client offering. She is also a member of the Council of the Irish Tax Institute.

“I am honoured to take on this role and grateful to David for his leadership over the last seven years. The Irish market has enormous significance for DLA Piper as the gateway between the US and the EU, and he has built an exceptional platform for continued success, creating a business that combines deep market insight with the strength of DLA Piper’s global footprint,” commented Maura Dineen on her new role.


Helen Bray, Finance Director
Egis UK & Ireland 

Helen Bray has been appointed Finance Director of Egis’ Operations and Maintenance department. In her new role, Bray will lead Egis’ combined UK & Ireland Operations and Maintenance portfolio.

In Ireland, the portfolio includes the operation and maintenance of over 470km of motorways, the Dublin Tunnel, and the Jack Lynch Tunnel. It also involves operating the Motorway Operations Control Centre, monitoring 1,200km of the national road network.

In the UK, it includes overseeing the operation of the M40 motorway and operating the M25, as part of the Connect Plus Services consortium.

It also includes Mobiie, Egis’ joint venture with Arcadis, which operates the Traffic Scotland National Control Centre, monitoring over 3,500km of Scotland’s trunk road network on behalf of Transport Scotland.

Commenting on her appointment, Helen Bray said, “The UK & Ireland Operations & Maintenance business has grown significantly in recent years, and I am looking forward to supporting its ongoing development. I’m excited to work closely with colleagues to strengthen financial control, support contract-level performance and continue delivering for our clients.”


Megan Hooper, Head of Litigation and Dispute Resolution Group
McCann FitzGerald

Megan Hooper has been appointed as Head of McCann FitzGerald’s Litigation and Dispute Resolution Group, effective immediately. Hooper joined the company in 2002, and was appointed as a Partner in 2014. She is a highly experienced commercial litigation, investigations, and white-collar crime solicitor.

She has also played a central role in many of the firm’s most significant disputes, investigations, and enforcement matters.

Speaking on her appointment, Megan Hooper commented, “I’m proud to lead a group of brilliant lawyers who are client-focussed, experts in their field and practical in approach. I look forward to building on our group’s strong foundations and working with our clients in an ever-changing and complex legal and regulatory environment.”

James Scott-Lennon, Lead
Accenture Song

Accenture Song, the customer experience and marketing division of professional services firm Accenture, has appointed James Scott-Lennon to lead the division in Ireland.

Scott-Lennon brings nearly 20 years of experience delivering large-scale customer and business transformation programmes. He has been a member of Accenture Song’s Ireland leadership team for more than three years and most recently led its Service practice, supporting clients to improve the experiences they deliver to customers.

Since joining Accenture in 2007, he has worked extensively with utilities clients on customer experience, strategy and transformation initiatives.

Mark Jennings, Director
DC Advisory

The international investment bank has announced the appointment of Mark Jennings as Director in its Technology & Software team based in Dublin.

Mark Jennings, Director, DC Advisory Ireland, commented, “DC Advisory has built a strong reputation as a trusted adviser to technology companies, entrepreneurs and investors around the world. Having spent much of my career advising technology businesses in Silicon Valley, I was looking for a business that combines deep sector expertise with international reach. DC Advisory has built exactly that. The opportunity to join the team in Ireland while continuing to work with founders, investors and companies across Europe, North America and Asia was particularly compelling.”

Jennings has worked on a range of notable technology M&A, strategic advisory and capital markets transactions, including Qualtrics’ sale to Silver Lake, Qualtrics’ acquisition of Clarabridge, Turnitin’s sale to Advance, and the IPOs of Figma, Astera Labs, and Avast. Before joining Morgan Stanley, he worked in UBS’s Technology, Media & Telecoms Investment Banking team in London and its Technology Investment Banking team in San Francisco.

He joins DC Advisory’s global Technology & Software team, comprising nearly 70 bankers across Europe, Asia and the US. The practice advises founders, corporates and private equity investors across a broad range of sub-sectors, including Software, IT Services, Cybersecurity, Fintech, Infrastructure Software and Semiconductors. Based in Dublin, Mark will work closely with technology clients across Ireland and internationally, connecting them with DC Advisory’s global platform and sector expertise.


Peter Cullen, Chief Executive Officer
Click&Go Holidays

The Irish travel company has appointed Peter Cullen as its new chief executive. In his new role, he will lead the overall business, with a particular focus on continued growth, innovation, technology and customer experience. His appointment comes as Click&Go Holidays continues to expand its position as a leading Irish travel company, combining digital technology with expert travel advice and customer service.

Cullen has been with the company since 2015, during which he held various senior roles and most recently served as Chief Operating Officer.

Cullen has also been a prominent voice on the impact of technology and artificial intelligence on the travel industry. He has highlighted the significant opportunities AI presents for travel companies and consumers, while stressing the continued importance of human expertise and the need to verify AI-generated travel information. This balance between technology and the human touch will remain central to Click&Go Holiday’s development.

Dr Niamh O’Reilly, Executive Director
Institute of Directors Ireland

The Institute of Directors (IoD) has announced the appointment of Dr Niamh O’Reilly as its new Executive Director of Learning and Education.

In her new role, Dr O’Reilly will lead and manage the Learning & Education function end-to-end, building on its existing strengths while shaping its future strategic direction. She will oversee the IoD’s full suite of educational offerings, including the Chartered Director Programme, workshops, bespoke board training, and the ILCU Director Development Programme, while also driving operational excellence and digital transformation across the function.
