Bankinter has introduced a 3.30% AER rate on its 12-month term deposit, targeting Irish savers seeking a competitive fixed return while retaining limited access to their funds.

Bankinter has today announced the introduction of a new 3.30% AER fixed rate on its 12-month term deposit account, giving Irish savers the opportunity to earn a market-leading return on eligible deposits from €2,000 up to a maximum lodgement limit of €2 million.

The new rate will be available from 1 October 2026 until 1 December 2026. The 12-month fixed-term product retains the features designed to give customers both certainty and flexibility: interest is paid at maturity, while customers can access up to 25% of their funds eight weeks after opening.

The update comes as the Irish savings market continues to evolve, with customers able to choose from a growing range of options in the market. Bankinter’s latest pricing gives savers a clear, fixed-term option backed by the bank’s local teams and European banking experience.

Ciarán Byrne, Head of Everyday Banking at Bankinter, said, “Irish savers are increasingly looking for ways to make their money work harder, while still valuing clarity, security and access when they need it. Our new 3.30% 12-month rate is designed to provide an attractive, straightforward, competitive option for customers who want a fixed return without giving up all their flexibility.”

Bankinter launched its Deposit Plus products in Ireland earlier this year. Customers can deposit from €2,000, with the maximum lodgement limit set at €2 million. The wider range also includes a 6-month fixed-term option.
