TERMINALFOUR, the digital engagement and web content management platform for higher education, today announced its plans to expand its North American operations and recruit 15 new positions in its US headquarters in Boston.

The expansion is being accelerated due to the successful launch of TERMINALFOUR’s latest software release which has resulted in TERMINALFOUR winning 7 new significant higher education clients.

TERMINALFOUR has had a base in the US since 2008 and chose Boston as its HQ due to its vibrant technology cluster, access to skilled high-potential graduates and its gateway location to the rest of the United States and Canada. The announcement of these 15 new positions is a further commitment by TERMINALFOUR to the City of Boston and also a reflection of the increasing opportunities and demand in North America for its software.

Over the past 12 months, TERMINALFOUR has grown its business significantly in North America, bringing its current number of US and Canadian higher education clients to seventy.  In addition to the new direct business wins, it has also revitalised its partner strategy which is helping to increase awareness, market penetration and market share further.

The 15 new positions cover business development and client-facing roles including account management, client support, and training and new business development. These roles will be recruited over the next 18 months and interviewing is already underway. Growth of the team will strengthen availability of support and customer service for TERMINALFOUR’s clients throughout North America.

TERMINALFOUR’s digital engagement and web content management platform is used by more than 155 university and college clients to power in excess of 10,000 high education websites throughout the world. The platform helps universities and college engage more effectively online and drive key results such as student recruitment numbers. Last year it announced plans to double this to more than 300 clients by 2016. Current customers are based throughout the US, Canada, Ireland, South Africa, the UK and Australia and include top ranking universities such as the University of Florida, Virginia Commonwealth University, State University New York (SUNY) and St Andrew’s University.

Piero Tintori, CEO and founder, TERMINALFOUR said: “As an Irish company, creating new jobs in the US is very exciting for us. Dublin is our Global HQ and we continue to grow the team there but to be a world-leader you have to become a dominant player in the US market. That requires people, money and presence.  This announcement comes hot on the heels of news of our latest software release and subsequent new business success, so it really feels like everything is coming to fruition.”

The expansion in the US is being led by Mike Taylor, VP of Worldwide Sales, TERMINALFOUR: “TERMINALFOUR has had a presence in the US for a number of years but it needed to make a bigger, bolder and more pronounced commitment to this market.  While we still have significant and robust ties to the global business unit, the expansion of the Boston team is about bolstering local resources to drive our ambitious national business development plans but also ensuring a personalised experience for our US client base.”
