Ireland INC, the engagement platform promoting Irish business investment across the United States, hosted its annual leadership forum in partnership with the New York Stock Exchange yesterday.
Ireland INC hosted a gathering of US-Irish business leaders Leadership Forum yesterday at the New York Stock Exchange ahead of an important week for Ireland across the United States
The event took place at the 13th annual Ireland Day at the New York Stock Exchange where business and political leaders gathered to discuss Irish US trade issues and opportunities for the economic relationship.
This year’s event focused on ‘Navigating Expansion and Overcoming Obstacles to Growth’, bringing together business, political, and industry leaders from Ireland and the United States to discuss strategies for scaling Irish business investment in the US. The forum was followed by Ireland INC ringing the NYSE opening bell, marking the start of trading on Wall Street.
Congressman Mike Lawler, Member of the U.S. House of Representatives from New York’s 17th district, said: “The Ireland Day Leadership Forum at the New York Stock Exchange is a powerful symbol of the unbreakable US-Ireland economic partnership. This event brings together leaders from business and government to celebrate our shared successes and forge new pathways for collaboration, innovation, and economic growth.

The event was hosted as part of the 13th annual Ireland Day at the NYSE and drew notable US and Irish business and political leaders to discuss expansion strategies and key challenges in international growth.

Jennifer Carroll MacNeill, Minister for Health of Ireland, said: “On behalf of the Irish Government, I was delighted to join Ireland INC for what has become a landmark event for our global St Patrick’s Day and a moment to celebrate Irish business and economic success. Ireland and the US have a significant and mutually beneficial economic relationship that is now valued at over one trillion euros.”

Ireland Day is the only recognised ‘country day’ at the NYSE. It was established as a C-suite forum to promote Irish business interests globally.

Ireland is now ranked sixth largest source of foreign direct investment in the US. Irish enterprises currently employ hundreds of thousands across the country.
Speaking at the event, Ian Hyland, President of Ireland INC, said: “The Ireland INC Leadership Forum at the New York Stock Exchange provides a vital platform for US and Irish Business Leaders to engage and progress Ireland’s ever-increasing investment footprint across the United States.

“Ireland is now the 6th largest FDI Investor in the US creating hundreds of thousands of jobs across all fifty states. The 2025 Ireland INC Leadership Forum is a particularly important gathering in the context of cementing the critical economic partnership between the US and Ireland”.
Roundtable
A roundtable on the theme ‘Navigating Expansion and Overcoming Obstacles to Growth’ invited conversation from leading business and political figures from Ireland and the United States.
The roundtable was chaired by Ian Hyland, President of Ireland INC, who was joined by Jennifer Carroll MacNeill, Minister for Health of Ireland, Wilbur Ross, former US Secretary of Commerce, Michael Clausen, Deputy Chief of Mission at the US Embassy in Dublin, Congressman Mike Lawler (R-NY17), and senior US and Irish business and political leaders.

Wilbur Ross, former Secretary of Commerce, said that Select USA, a government program aimed at promoting foreign direct investment in the United States, “has become a very useful point of entry … for foreign companies.” He noted Select USA can set companies up with representative bodies from each US state to begin the process of establishing a presence in the country.
Conor Galvin, CEO of Ornua, spoke about the company’s presence in the US and plans for expansion, while Oisin Hanrahan, CEO and founder of Keychain Modern Manufacturing, spoke about the importance of investing in AI.
