Mary-Jane Halpin, Director of Human Resources & Business Change

Cornmarket Group Financial Services Ltd

Cornmarket Group Financial Services Ltd announced the appointment of Mary-Jane Halpin as Director of Human Resources & Business Change.  The appointment represents a new role for Cornmarket sitting on its board of Directors.

Prior to this new role, Mary-Jane has been working as Head of Human Resources at Cornmarket Group Financial Services for the past seven years, she was also responsible for leading the design and implementation of MyCornmarket, which is a Customer Service app & Customer portal. Before joining Cornmarket, Mary-Jane previously worked in human resources roles for corporate law firm Matheson, Caledonian Life and Royal Liver Assurance.  She is a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD).

Originally from Dublin, Mary-Jane has a primary degree in Business Studies from Dundalk Institute of Technology and a master’s degree in Strategic Human Resources from National College of Ireland.

Nick Hazeldine, Chief Operating Officer 

CDB Aviation

CDB Aviation, a wholly owned Irish subsidiary of China Development Bank Financial Leasing Co., Limited (“CDB Leasing”), announced today the appointment of Nick Hazeldine as the company’s Chief Operating Officer. Nick will begin his role in November 2018 and will be based in CDB Aviation’s recently opened global headquarters in Dublin.

Nick is a seasoned aircraft leasing professional with more than 16 years of experience in asset finance, working for lessors exclusively owned by large financial institutions. His background spans a number of key operational areas, such as: risk, commercial negotiation, contract management, and aircraft deliveries. In his most recent role, Nick was credited with establishing and leading the industry’s first aircraft leasing innovation lab.

Nick joins CDB Aviation from SMBC Aviation Capital, where most recently he was Head of Innovation. Previously, he served as Head of Credit Risk, Head of Transaction Management, Senior Vice President, Commercial Negotiation, as well as several other roles in contract management, aircraft deliveries, and funding. Nick started his career in The Royal Bank of Scotland’s rail leasing business before progressing to their Structured Asset Finance division. Nick holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Leeds.

Dr Ivan Coulter, Chief Executive Officer

ATXA Therapeutics

ATXA Therapeutics a pharmaceutical company focused on the discovery and development of new therapeutic drugs in heart and lung diseases, including pulmonary arterial hypertension, announced the appointment of Dr Ivan Coulter as Chief Executive Officer.

ATXA Therapeutics was founded by Professor Therese Kinsella in 2015 as a University College Dublin (UCD) spin-out from the UCD School of Biomolecular and Biomedical Science and is headquartered at the UCD Conway Institute.

Previously Dr Coulter was the founder and CEO of Sigmoid Pharm now Sublimity Therapeutics.  Dr Coulter graduated with BSc (Honours) and PhD degrees in Pharmacology from UCD and an MBA from Cornell University, USA.
