Canadian group Avenir Global acquires UK public relations consultancy Hanover

Hanover has a Dublin presence since 2016 and offices in Brussels, Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

Montreal-based holding and management company of public relations and communications firms, Avenir Global, has acquired Hanover, a top 10 independent U.K. public relations consultancy with offices in London, Brussels, Dublin, Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

With the acquisition of Hanover, Avenir Global will place in the top 15 worldwide public relations agency ranking, with an annualised revenue of £125 million and 1,000 employees in 25 locations across North America, Europe and the Middle East.

History of Hanover

Founded in London in 1998 by CEO Charles Lewington, Hanover’s clients include Goldman Sachs, Airbus, Microsoft, Apple, Warner Media, Sky, Lucozade Ribena Suntory, Premier League, Tata Steel, Lilly, Novartis, BMS, Roche and Takeda. The company reported £19 million in revenues last year, and employs 163 people. The Hanover Group also includes creative communications agency The Playbook, and Multiple. The company plans to double in growth by 2022.

Hanover Dublin

Hanover Dublin was established in 2016 under the leadership of Managing Director Lorna Jennings. Since then it has experienced rapid growth working with multinational clients in the fields of corporate affairs, government relations and strategic communications.
