Ireland’s most innovative and influential CFOs convened at a special launch event hosted by Business & Finance in association with Friends First at The Merrion, Dublin on Wednesday May 24th.
Rachel Izzard, Chief Financial Officer at Aer Lingus, was honoured at the event and gave a memorable talk regarding the financial industry and her journey to become the CFO of an Irish institution.
On the night, Commercial Transition Director at Friends First John Corr also addressed the crowd of notable financial chiefs.
The CFO 100 launch event represents an opportunity to reflect on how far national and global businesses across Ireland have come under the direction and strategic vision of their Chief Financial Officers, coinciding with a special digital Index profiling the top 100 CFOs in the country.
A long-time employee of British Airways, Izzard joined the airline in 1996, heading the finance section of IAG’s cargo operation since 2013.
Following the IAG takeover of Aer Lingus in 2015 and the departure of former CFO Bernard Bot, she was appointed as the company’s Chief Financial Officer.
