The CEO of IDA Ireland, Martin Shanahan was on hand last night to launch the Business & Finance FDI 100 issue for 2015 at The Marker Hotel, Dublin.
Sponsored by Ulster Bank, the event saw special honorees Traoloch Collins, managing director of Ericsson Ireland; and Martin Shanahan of IDA Ireland take to the stage to discuss the progress Ireland has made in attracting FDI over the past 12 month.
In his address, Collins commended the work of IDA Ireland in attracting investment from global tech firms and added that it is vitally important that ‘Dublin becomes a smart city to continue to attract this all important investment’.
Shanahan echoed Collins’ sentiment adding that the IDA “counts jobs in single digits” and is “focused on partnering with multinationals, winning FDI and providing jobs for Ireland”.
