I look forward to working with our Council and members to further build the profession’s role and reputation and expand actuaries’ skillsets and fields of practice.”
The President of the Society, Maurice Whyms, said, “Using their expertise in financial modelling and risk management, actuaries act as advisers and business leaders across the financial services sector and perform roles reserved to actuaries and supervised by the Central Bank and Pensions Authority. Increasingly, actuar

Yvonne has led the development of the Society’s professional regulation framework, which underpins the cultivation of professionalism and excellence in all areas of actuarial practice. We are confident that the Society will continue to grow and develop under her leadership.”

Kantar Media, the global media intelligence leader, has appointed Grainne Mackey as a Client Director.
As part of her new role, Grainne will lead the client service team, with particular responsibility for clients of Kantar Media’s TGI consumer studies of consumer behaviour. “It is of huge practical benefit to our clients to have someone who has spent years working on the client side across the paid, owned and earned media mix now working for them within a business with expertise in measuring and optimising the effectiveness of each of these media. Grainne’s appointment is indicative of our strategy of investing in the best talent in the industry to reinforce our position as the leaders in media measurement, monitoring and selection in the Irish media marketplace”.
