Following the completion of a six-year naming rights agreement with Audi Ireland, Live Nation Ireland has taken the decision to bring the club brand back in-house and launched the 1878 club on June 20th.
The 3Arena is home to two of Dublin’s most successful private members clubs – The Premium Club, and the 1878 (formerly the Audi Club).
Management at the 1878 intends to evolve the club experience with an exclusive focus on their members. Members of the 1878 will continue to experience the same high quality service and unbeatable entertainment line-ups as always, including centre stage seats for every show at 3Arena.
The new name, the 1878, refers to the year the original building housing 3Arena was built, previously used as a rail terminus for the Midland and Great Western Railway Company. Respect for history is important and the new name encompasses the timeless qualities of luxury, style and elegance that 3Arena private members’ clubs pride themselves on, the qualities Members expect from their club experience.
With a nod to the building’s past as a point of departure and a reference to the journey through history it has made, the 1878 continues to provide the backdrop to journeys – now the musical and inspirational journeys created by the world-class acts, performers and musicians welcomed to 3Arena, which the 1878 members enjoy in uniquely luxurious fashion.
Speaking on the renaming Mike Adamson, CEO, Live Nation Ireland, says: “We are having one of our busiest and most impressive years at 3Arena. Our new name and brand fully encompass our values of luxury, quality and style at 3Arena while at the same time nodding to the history of this iconic music venue, being the date that the venue was originally built. We look forward to bringing our members on many more memorable journeys as part of the 1878 at 3Arena.”
First opened in 2003, the 1878 provides an exclusive and luxurious entertainment package that allows members to elevate their show experience at 3Arena. Membership of the 1878 will continue to guarantee centre stage seats for every show at 3Arena, provide pre and post show access to the 1878 on every show night, provide dedicated account management and the very highest of service on every show night. Located at the heart of Ireland’s premier music venue, the 1878 will offer the same great entertainment experience for its current and prospective members. Membership of the 1878 will continue at the existing price and with existing benefits.
The official launch of the 1878 will took place on the evening of June 20th before the first of three shows from Fleetwood Mac at 3Arena.
