By Business & Finance AIG today announced the establishment of its EMEA Treasury Operations Centre in Dublin. The Operations Centre will form part of the already established Dublin Investment Centre that provides Investment Administration services to AIG globally.
Phase one of the establishment of the new Treasury Operations Centre is already in progress with a number of services being provided from Dublin in the last month and 20 treasury management positions in total will be filled in support of the new Dublin Treasury Operations Centre.
The establishment of the new Treasury Operations Centre is part of AIG’s Treasury Transformation Initiative, which aims to establish an integrated, cohesive global treasury organisation that safeguards AIG’s liquidity, transaction execution and banking relationships in a cost effective environment.
The Minister for Finance, Michael Noonan TD said: “I was delighted to meet with Peter Hancock, CEO of AIG today, who briefed me on the establishment of the company’s Treasury Operations Centre in Dublin and the creation of 20 new jobs. The area of International financial services is a sector that has been prioritised by this government. We are currently preparing a new national strategy for Ireland’s international financial services sector under the guidance of Minister of State Simon Harris. This strategy will be designed to encourage global leaders such as AIG, to create jobs in the sector.”

The EMEA Treasury Operations Centre in Dublin is one of a select number of Treasury Operations Centres that AIG is creating across the globe. Others are located in Houston (Texas – US), Bogota (Colombia) and Bengaluru (India).
