Avaya creating 75 new jobs in Galway

An Taoiseach, Enda Kenny TD and Avaya, a global leader in business communications and engagement technologies, today announced the creation of 75 new highly skilled roles at Avaya’s Customer Engagement Centre in Galway.

Avaya currently employs over 400 people in Galway of which 245 are engaged in R&D activities. The company will expand its R&D facility in Galway, one of its global innovation centres. The expanded team will focus on developing business critical customer and team engagement technologies and next generation networking products.

Avaya is recruiting staff in a multitude of positions, including research and development, engineering, finance, IT, and administrative support.

Speaking at today’s announcement, An Taoiseach said: “I’m delighted that Avaya is expanding its 400-strong workforce with the addition of 75 new jobs, which is great news for Galway. The Government’s ambition is to secure the growing economic recovery and get our people back to work. Supporting sectors where highly skilled jobs can be created is one of our priorities and Avaya’s expansion of its R&D facility is very welcome in that regard.”
