Aidan Corbett

Aidan Corbett is the co-founder and CEO of Wayflyer, a Dublin-based fintech he launched in 2019 with Jack Pierse. The company helps e-commerce businesses access fast, unsecured funding, giving them the cash they need to invest in things like advertising and inventory before revenue starts coming in.

Corbett started as a civil servant in Ireland’s Department of Communications, Marine, and Natural Resources before making a move into entrepreneurship. After studying at London Business School, he went on to build and successfully exit two companies before turning his focus to fintech.

His first venture, The Kubicle, launched in 2013 and focused on professional development, offering online training in tools like Excel and PowerPoint to business users around the world. A few years later, he co-founded Conjura, an analytics company designed to help businesses better understand the return on their digital advertising spend.

After exiting both businesses, Corbett began looking more closely at the challenges facing online retailers, particularly when it came to accessing flexible funding.

Wayflyer

Wayflyer was launched in 2019. Since then, the company has grown into one of Ireland’s most prominent fintech firms, specialising in revenue-based financing for e-commerce and tech businesses. Its approach includes tools like invoice discounting and factoring, helping companies unlock cash tied up in future or outstanding revenue.

To date, Wayflyer has deployed more than €5 billion in funding and supported over 6,000 businesses globally.

The company recently secured a €218 million credit facility, giving it even greater capacity to lend to small and medium-sized businesses.

Headquartered in Dublin, Wayflyer now operates across four countries, with offices in London, New York, Charlotte, and Sydney.
