Ger Rabbette has led Pharmaceutical services company Uniphar to organic gross profit growth of over five per cent in early 2023. He is our Business Person of the Month August 2023, in association with KPMG.
Uniphar’s growth in profit was driven by supply chain outperformance in the group’s supply chain and retail divisions, according to the company. The company also said the integration of the McCauley Pharmacy Group was progressing in line with expectations. That deal, announced in September 2022, added 37 retail outlets to Uniphar’s Irish offering. Now, with 140 pharmacies across the country and distribution relationships with 280 more, Uniphar’s drive for success looks set to continue with M&A activity a key part of Uniphar’s growth.
CEO Ger Rabbette has said: “The resilience of our business model and the diversity of our product offering has once again been demonstrated with each division delivering organic growth in gross profit during the period,” chief executive Ger Rabbette said, adding that the group will continue to invest across all platforms.
“Having delivered on our strategic objective of doubling EBITDA within five years of IPO, we will communicate new medium-term targets with our interim results,” Mr Rabbette said.
Uniphar’s head office is located in Citywest Business Park and the company has a global workforce of over 2,900 employees. They partner with 7 of the top 10 pharma companies and deliver to 160 countries.
