The new roles will be across 30 new stores and the investment is another part of the convenience store’s transformation to a healthier offering for customers.
In 2016 Centra repositioned to a healthier alternative in the retail market. The ‘Grab & Go’ range grew by almost a quarter since its launch while sales of salad boxes rose to almost €2 million.
Frank and Honest coffee brand, available in 370 Centra stores, performed very well last year also. It contributed heavily to Centra doubling its sales in the hot beverages sector.
Centra has over 450 stores across Ireland and hires 11,000.
