Cairn Homes is a construction company that designs and builds new homes across Ireland. The company has just secured planning permission for a €240m apartment complex and is our Company of the Month October 2023, in association with KPMG.
Cairn Homes was founded in November, 2014. Today, the country’s largest home-building company has over 3,500 people employed directly and jobs supported across Ireland and have 20 active developments across the country.
Earlier this year, the company reported strong performance in the first half of the year with revenue of €215m. Michael Stanley, Cairn’s co-founder and CEO, said, “Cairn is pleased to be on course to significantly increase our housing delivery by up to 20pc targeting between 1,750 and 1,800 new home sales this year.”
The relatively young company has achieved some major milestones over the last few years. In 2022, the company became the first home-builder to deliver over 1,500 new homes in a calendar year.
In September this year, the company invested in an Apprenticeship Academy which is aimed at addressing future skills in the construction industry. The Academy is provide supports to incentivise new entrants into the construction industry.
Cairn Homes was named Developer of the Year at the 2023 National Property Awards and was awarded Residential Project of the Year for their Griffith Wood development on Griffith Avenue, Dublin 7, at the 2023 Irish Construction Excellence Awards.
