The Corporate Enforcement Authority has launched its new podcast, EnforCEAble, now available on Apple, Spotify, and other podcast platforms.
The Corporate Enforcement Authority is delighted to launch our new podcast EnforCEAble – the CEA Podcast. Over the course of the series, our ambition is to explain what company law is all about and why it’s so important to both the economy and our everyday lives.
We all do business with companies every day, be that buying groceries, going to the cinema or booking a summer holiday. Company law, in the truest sense, affects every member of the public.
This series will explain what we at the Corporate Enforcement Authority (CEA) do, how we do it, why we do it, and just how interesting this work actually is. Whether you’re a company director, a student studying company law, or a professional working in this area, we’re sure that EnforCEAble will be of interest to you.
EnforCEAble will outline why company law is so important to the economy in terms of promoting and facilitating job creation; explain the principal roles under company law, and promote an understanding of the various parties’ rights and responsibilities. We will also point our listeners to where they can obtain further information about company law matters.
In the first episode of the series, CEO Ian Drennan sits down with the CEA’s Director of Legal and Policy, David Hegarty, to provide an overview of the Corporate Enforcement Authority. The episode covers the primary purpose of the CEA, our enforcement remit and the powers available to the CEA to carry out investigations.
In later episodes, we plan to cover specific episodes of company law in greater detail, and it is our ambition to do interviews with guests from various walks of life relevant to company law. If you have any suggestions for topics you’d like to hear discussed on Enforceable, we’d be delighted to hear from you. You can contact us either on our LinkedIn page or through email at media@cea.gov.ie.
We would be delighted if you would subscribe to EnforCEAble on Apple, Spotify or wherever you get your podcasts and leave a positive review if you enjoy what you hear.
