EasyJet orders 36 new aircraft and announces strong results

The agreement makes the company of the world’s biggest airline customers for the A320 Family with 321 ordered and also for the A320 with 130 on order.

These aircraft will be delivered between 2018 and 2021 and will give EasyJet a further expected cost saving of £27m by 2021.

In other news for the airline, passenger numbers increased by 6% to 68.6 million during the 12 months ending September 30th 2015 at the airline, while profits grew to record levels for a fifth consecutive year, up 18% to £686m.
