The eir Elevation Awards 2016 have announced they are open for business and are calling on entries from Ireland’s fastest growing companies of 2016.
The eir Elevation Awards 2016 aims to recognise the growth and ingenuity of the fastest growing businesses across Ireland and the specific reasons for their success.
With a spotlight on innovation, international scalability, differentiation and strategic investment to the Irish economy, the awards celebrate the success of Ireland’s fastest growing companies.
There are seven categories this year, including Manufacturing, Health and Life Sciences, Social Entrepreneurship, Emerging Fast Company Award, FMCG, Services, and Technology.
The winners will be announced at the eir Elevation Fast Company Awards Lunch in The Marker Hotel on November 4th.
Eavann Murphy, chief commercial officer, eir Business and one of the judges of awards, said: “2015 gave us the opportunity to award fast Irish businesses that we are really proud to recognise. John Moore, managing director of 3D4Medical won Business Trailblazer for developing a business that develops apps for medical education and healthcare professionals using innovative 3D technology. John’s business is now recognised as the world’s leading medical applications developer.
“Shortly after awarding Voxpro our Grand Prix award, the business service outsourcing company based in Cork, established by entrepreneurs Dan and Linda Kiely, announced 400 jobs increasing their workforce to 1,400. These are just two of the exciting stories of our successful 2015 winners operating on an international stage, and we look forward to shortlisting and awarding the fast businesses of 2016.”
Chairman of the judging panel Ian Hyland said: “We were delighted with the level of entries to the eir Elevation Awards in the inaugural year and were overwhelmed by the quality and the incredible revenue growth of the businesses over such a short period of time together with their potential for international scalability. We anticipate an even higher number of entrants as Ireland’s economy speeds up and companies have more scope to innovate with more investment and more opportunities internationally and we are excited to receive the fast entrants for 2016.”
The eir Elevation prize fund enables winners to grow their business even further. The overall Grand Prix Winner receives a media package to the value of €50,000 with Business & Finance Media Group which includes advertising and editorial, print and digital, and all category winners receive two places to attend the 42rd Annual Business & Finance awards on December 15th at The Convention Centre Dublin.
Last year’s winners included Voxpro, Ocean Harvest Technology, Cupprint, Rye River Brewing, FoodCloud, Revive Active Products, Vizor Ltd and 3D4Medical.
The closing date for award entries is September 22nd.
