FDI of the Month February 2025: Squarespace announces major expansion in Ireland

Squarespace, the design-driven platform used to assist entrepreneurs build brands and businesses online, has announced the creation of over 120 new jobs in Ireland over the next two years. The company is our FDI of the Month February 2025.


Squarespace is a design-driven platform that provides users with the tools to create an online presence, build an audience, monetise, and scale their business. The New York-headquartered company has a userbase in the millions across more than 200 countries.

Products include website-building, domains, ecommerce, and marketing tools, scheduling tools with Acuity, and social media management with tools Bio Sites and Unfold.

Squarespace’s expansion will further strengthen the group’s presence in Ireland, bringing its total workforce in Ireland to over 400 employees.

Squarespace opened in Ireland in 2013, with its office located just off George’s Street at Squarespace House, Ship Street Great, Dublin.

Minister for Enterprise, Tourism & Employment Peter Burke said: “Squarespace’s decision to expand its operations in Ireland with the addition of 120 new jobs underlines the importance of Ireland as a stable and attractive location for international business. I am pleased to see a brand like Squarespace recognising the benefits of locating in Ireland and I wish Squarespace ongoing success in the future.”

Supported by the Irish government through IDA Ireland, Squarespace will begin hiring a variety of roles immediately, with a focus on engineering and product roles in 2025.
