Squarespace has been established in Ireland since 2013 and is headquartered on Ship Street Great, Dublin. Squarespace is our FDI of the Month for September 2026.
Squarespace is a platform that helps entrepreneurs to build, grow, and run their businesses online.
On 24 September, the company announced a €70 million commitment, in partnership with IDA Ireland. This investment will support Squarespace’s product innovation and global expansion. This includes key R&D initiatives that will help drive the continued evolution of the Squarespace platform.
The platform has been helping millions of entrepreneurs for over 20 years. Its platform brings together website, domains, e-commerce, payments, marketing and appointments scheduled through Acuity.
Their investment follows the announcement to add 120 jobs in Ireland in 2025.
The announcement was welcomed by Taoiseach Micheál Martin, who noted that the Government’s ambition under Digital Ireland is to strengthen its position as a digital leader and a global hub for applied AI innovation.
“This commitment is a clear vote of confidence in Ireland’s highly skilled talent base, our vibrant technology ecosystem, and our reputation as a leading location for innovation and global business. Squarespace’s continued growth in Dublin will support high-value activity and further strengthen Ireland’s position as a hub for digital enterprise,” he said.
Colm MacCarvill, Head of Squarespace Ireland, commented, “Ireland has played an important role in Squarespace’s growth for more than a decade, and this €70 million investment reflects our continued confidence in Ireland as a strategic location for our business. As we look to the next generation of Squarespace, we’re combining our strength in design with AI-powered technology and new commerce capabilities to make it even easier for entrepreneurs to start, manage and grow their businesses. This is a long-term commitment to innovation in Ireland and the talented team we have built here.’’
