FS Dublin, in association with KPMG Ireland, recognises excellence in financial services in Ireland

The FS Dublin Awards recognise the financial services change-makers in Ireland. They acknowledge the companies, teams, and individuals leading, innovating and shaping their organisations through Excellence, Innovation, and Trust – indispensable qualities in an ever-changing industry.

The FS Dublin Awards recognise the financial services change-makers in Ireland. They acknowledge the companies, teams, and individuals leading, innovating and shaping their organisations through Excellence, Innovation, and Trust – indispensable qualities in an ever-changing industry.

Its first iteration will take place October 27, 2022, at The Mansion House, Dublin, and nominations will close on September 5. Among the categories on the night are ‘Customer Experience,’ ‘Blockchain Initiative,’ ‘Sustainable Finance,’ and ‘New Entrant FS Challenger.’

In partnership with KPMG, Ireland INC and Business & Finance, this event is geared towards thought leadership, networking and enabling connections. It is an opportunity to inspire and influence FS organisations to reach higher levels at the FS Leaders Summit, where the brightest minds in the field explore the sector’s reinvention and the challenges of the modernisation of finance, investment, regulation, banking, and payment services will bring.

Ian Nelson, a member of the judging panel and Head of Financial Services and Head of Regulatory at KPMG, said:

“The financial services industry in Ireland is a vital component of our economy, and we are pleased to support the recognition of businesses, groups, and individuals who have made significant contributions to Ireland’s status as one of the world’s top financial services hubs. These awards provide the industry with a great chance to highlight market-leading activities in banking, payments, insurance, asset management, and the ever-expanding fintech sector. We also anticipate recognising noteworthy achievements in sustainability, diversity and inclusion, areas that are crucial to the industry and important to KPMG.”

The judging committee is presided by Louise Phelan. She had a remarkable career at PayPal and is the current CEO of Phelan Energy Group. Joining her are Karl Curran, Head of Mergers and Acquisitions at Aon, Margaret Sweeny, CEO of IRES Reit, and Brian Hayes, CEO of Banking & Payments Federation Ireland.

Louise Phelan commented on the financial services industry: “The financial services industry is a significant contribution to Ireland Inc. We should be recognising the sector, and individuals who have made significant contributions to develop the financial service industry.”
