Jobs website Indeed.com has announced expansion plans for its Dublin-based headquarters for EMEA, adding 300 new employees in the next two years.

The company has already started recruiting for sales, client services, business development, marketing, finance and operations roles,

Indeed has sites in more than 50 countries in 28 languages. Every month over 180 million jobseekers find and apply for jobs on Indeed.com.

The company opened its first Dublin office in March 2012 and currently has a team of over 230 employees.

In Ireland Indeed has over 800,000 unique visitors each month, with an increase in traffic of 40% in the past 12 months as the economy improves and the site gains in popularity.

Chris Hyams, president, Indeed, said: “Today’s announcement demonstrates Indeed’s long term commitment to Ireland and our confidence, both in the strengthening Irish economy and in the deep pool of talent that Ireland offers. When we opened our Irish office in 2012 we had ambitious growth plans for Indeed and Ireland has played an integral role in our international expansion. We now have 230 employees, representing 18 nationalities in our Dublin office serving job seekers and employers all over the word. We plan to more than double the size of our Irish team by 2017 to continue to expand globally, find better ways to match candidates with employers, and make it easier for people to get jobs.”

Taoiseach Enda Kenny TD added: “I am delighted to welcome this great announcement by Indeed of 300 new jobs. This is a vote of confidence in Dublin, where Indeed has based its EMEA headquarters, and shows the potential for excellent employment opportunities from Dublin’s success as a tech hub. The Government will continue to create the policy environment for companies like Indeed to locate and grow as we work to secure the recovery.”

Tánaiste Joan Burton TD also commented: “My over-riding focus as Minister for Social Protection has been on helping jobseekers back to work and so I know the value of Indeed’s services – to both jobseekers and employers. You can search the site as a jobseeker looking for opportunities, and you can search it as an employer looking for CVs. This is exactly the kind of service that jobseekers and employers want – fast, comprehensive and accessible. And it’s an added bonus that Indeed’s success story means the company is now significantly expanding its own operations and creating more jobs in the process.”
