The Ireland INC US 250 Index 2022 launches today. This celebrates the strength and value of Irish FDI in the United States.
Today sees the release of the fifth edition of the Ireland INC US 250 Index 2022. This year’s Index, comprising 250 of the fastest growing Irish companies investing and operating in the US, truly reflects the strength and value of Irish FDI in the States which currently stands at $240 billion.
This year’s index will be presented as a Special Report as it was in 2021. It will feature special guest contributions from Tánaiste Leo Varadkar; Sean Davis, Regional Director of The Americas, Enterprise Ireland; Danny McCoy, CEO, Ibec; Mike Burke, Partner, Arnall Golden Gregory; Bernard Condon, Managing Director Global Ingredients Division, Ornua and Ian Hyland, Founder & President, Ireland INC.
Mr. Hyland commented on the success of Irish involvement in America over the last number of years:
Despite the unprecedented challenges of the past two years, Irish businesses have not only survived but thrived, expanding their investment footprint across the United States.
2022 has seen more growth as Irish FDI across in the US continues to contribute to an array of industries including construction, food, life sciences, software, ICT and business services. 100,000 US workers are employed by US affiliates of Irish-owned firms with Irish-owned companies in almost 2,200 locations in the US. Approximately 900 Irish companies are exporting across the Atlantic.

Ireland INC supports SelectUSA Investment Summit 2022
Ireland INC founder and president Ian Hyland was present at the SelectUSA Investment Summit in Washington as a gesture of support. This year’s summit featured the largest ever Irish delegation led by US Ambassador to Ireland, Claire Cronin.
Over forty Irish corporations traveled to the US capital with Irish business leaders connecting with business and political representatives from across all fifty states.
With over 3,600 participants, 100 sessions, and 300 speakers, this year’s summit was the largest ever. The summit has directly impacted over $59 billion in new U.S. investment projects, supporting over 50,000 jobs across the United States and its territories.
Ireland INC, along with Select USA, Ibec, Enterprise Ireland and a range of corporate and strategic partners, are working together on a number of initiatives to create a permanent professional representative services and support to Irish corporations who are investing and expanding across the United States as part of Ireland INC’s ‘30-50-30 Programme’. The initiative is driving Irish corporations with the aim of increasing Irish businesses investment by 30% across all Fifty US States by 2030.
