What was your first job?

My very first job was a paper round when I was just 10 years old, delivering newspapers before school each morning.

My first real job came later, working in a café in Blackrock in Dublin, where I learned the value of hard work and responsibility.

What are your main priorities and goals in your current role?

My primary focus is on delivering nutritious, sustainable, health‑driven solutions that create long‑term value for our clients.

I prioritise integrating environmentally responsible practices into Sodexo’s operations, ensuring that the services we provide not only meet immediate needs but also contribute to a healthier future.

By aligning sustainability with health and wellness, my goal is to empower Sodexo Ireland clients to make choices that benefit both their personal well-being and the wider community.

What pushed you to pursue a career in this field?

Travel was the first thing that inspired me. I loved experiencing new countries and cultures.

Over time, I realised the creative side of this field was just as exciting, because you’re constantly learning and evolving.

How do you motivate yourself and your team?

I motivate myself by seeing my team grow; it’s inspiring to be part of something special.

I keep the team at Sodexo Ireland motivated by celebrating progress, encouraging collaboration, and making sure everyone feels valued. When they succeed, it drives me to keep pushing forward, too.

In one sentence, how would you define success?

I define success as creating an environment where the people around me can grow, thrive, and build confidence in themselves.

For me, it’s about bringing out the best in others, helping them realise their potential.

How do you relax?

I relax by running; it’s not only a way to stay active, but also where I do a lot of my thinking.

Running gives me the space to clear my mind, reflect, and often find solutions, so it’s both energising and grounding for me.

What is your favourite (non-business) book?

It’s been a while since I’ve sat down with a book, but I find myself drawn more to podcasts at the moment. One of my favourites is Outrage + Optimism, a really insightful podcast about climate change.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?

Surround yourself with people who bring out the best in you.

How do you handle adversity?

I handle adversity by staying calm, focusing on solutions, and seeing challenges as opportunities to grow.

What are the aspirations for the future of the business?

My aspiration for the future of Sodexo is to keep building something sustainable and people‑focused.

We want to empower our clients and their workplace experience through health and wellness initiatives that create lasting value, while also fostering a culture of creativity and continuous learning.

Most importantly, success for us means helping our team grow in confidence and bringing out the best in those around us, so together we can make a positive impact on both our community and the environment.
