This week sees new and notable appointments at 30% Club Ireland, DLA Piper Ireland and Interpath.


Elizabeth Sheehan, Country Executive

30% Club Ireland

30% Club Ireland has announced the appointment of Elizabeth Sheehan as its new Country Executive

A highly experienced independent non-executive director, business consultant, and leadership coach, Sheehan brings over 30 years of expertise across top multinational firms including Suntory, PepsiCo, and Irish Distillers. Her career has spanned multiple countries, including Ireland, Spain, Portugal, Brazil, and the Netherlands.

Commenting on her appointment, Sheehan said: “I am honoured to be part of 30% Club’s next chapter, continuing our important work to drive diverse and representative leadership across corporate Ireland and beyond.” She added: “I have long admired the key role that the 30% Club and its supporters have played in progressing gender balance at leadership level in Ireland, and I am very much looking forward to what we can continue to achieve together in the years ahead.”

In her new role, Sheehan’s main focus will remain on ensuring that DE&I, and sustainability are integral to business strategies. In addition to her new appointment, Sheehan currently holds board positions at Bus Éireann, and the Advertising Standards Authority for Ireland.

Elizabeth Sheehan has been instrumental in driving sustainability efforts across the industry through her role as co-founder and chair of AdNetZero Ireland.

Orla O’Leary and Seán McGrenaghan, Partner

DLA Piper Ireland

DLA Piper Ireland has announced the appointment of two new partners.

Orla O’Leary joined DLA Piper Ireland in 2022. Her main focus areas are contentious and non-contentious employment and equality laws. O’Leary has extensive experience working with both international and domestic clients, particularly in the following sectors: technology, financial services, and life science.

 

 

Additionally, Seán McGrenaghan, who also joined the firm in 2022, is an experienced lawyer specialising in energy and infrastructure finance. McGrenaghan has advised both lenders and sponsors on the financing of major renewable energy projects and portfolios in Ireland, as well as on multi-billion-euro energy and infrastructure developments across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

Gary Borland, Director and Head of Renewable Energy practice in Ireland

Interpath

Interpath has announced the appointment of its new Director and Head of Renewable Energy practice in Ireland.

Gary Borland joined Interpath, bringing over 20 years of experience in the sector from KPMG, with a background spanning corporate restructuring, M&A, and fundraising.

In his new position, David will be playing a key role in expanding Interpath’s advisory services across the island.
