This week sees new and notable appointments at A&L Goodbody, Classic Hits Radio, Stelfox, Aon Ireland, Bus Éireann, Bank of Ireland, Wilson Hartnell, and S&W.

Trevor Glavey, Partner

Trevor Glavey has been appointed as A&L Goodbody’s Partner in its Tax Practice. Glavey brings more than ten years’ experience in advising companies in all industries on all aspects of Irish corporate tax.

Commenting on the appointment, David Widger, Managing Partner at ALG, said: “Trevor is a very welcome addition to our market-leading Tax team, which now has four partners and one of counsel in our Dublin office. We have seen strong demand from clients for specialist tax advice, particularly in relation to M&A, corporate restructurings, tax disputes and investment into Ireland.”

Following Glavey’s appointment, Paul Fahy, Head of A&L Goodbody Tax department, said, “I am very pleased to welcome Trevor to the team. Classic Hits Radio

Nicki Manley, Deputy Programme Editor at Classic Hits Radio

Nicki Manley joined Classic Hits Radio in 2023, presenting Sunday mornings. She has recently been appointed as Deputy Programme Editor.

In 2024, Manley won bronze for Newcomer of the Year at the IMRO Radio Awards. Starting in 2023 at Classic Hits Radio, Nicki Manley was presenting Sunday mornings before expanding to both Saturday and Sunday breakfast.

Commenting on her appointment, Nicki Manley said, “I’m thrilled to take on this new role. Radio has always been a passion of mine, and I’m looking forward to using my experience, both on air and in the world of HR, to support the team, to continue developing the strong programming that Ireland’s Classic Hits Radio is known for.

Jennifer Dillon, Managing Director
Stelfox

Stelfox IT Recruitment has announced the appointment of Jennifer Dillion as its new Managing Director. Bringing over 25 years of experience, Dillon previously held roles as Hayes’ Director and is an expert in business strategy, client partnerships, and solution design.

Commenting on her appointment, Jennifer Dillon said, “Though Ireland’s technology sector has faced some challenges of late, the fact is that it continues to expand. The global professional services firm Aon has announced the appointment of Jackie Gilmore as Chief Commercial Officer for Aon Ireland and Head of Talent Advisory Solutions for the UK.

Previously serving as Consulting Partner and Head of People Consulting in EY Ireland, Gilmore brings over 25 years of experience in numerous executive and commercial leadership roles where she has consulted extensively with Boards and CxOs on organisation transformation and talent, M&A integration, change management and across regulatory risk programmes. 

Additionally, Kate Fitzpatrick was appointed as Aon Ireland’s Head of Aviation. Aon established its aviation division in Ireland in July 2024, focusing on tailored insurance and risk advisory solutions for airlines, leasing companies, and aviation operators. Fitzpatrick brings almost two decades of specialist expertise in aviation insurance and leasing to Aon’s growing risk advisory capabilities.

Lesley Cullen has been appointed as Head of Pensions Administration, bringing over two decades of experience from the Australian superannuation industry. Focusing on operational rigour and risk management to deliver excellence of customer service for individual retirement savers.

Lastly, Anne Phelan was appointed as the Rewards and People Advisory Director. With a career spanning over 20 years, Phelan’s depth of expertise enhances Aon’s pay transparency and total rewards consulting offering to help clients protect and grow their workforces.

Jean O’Sullivan, CEO
Bus Éireann

Bus Éireann has announced the appointment of its new CEO, Jean O’Sullivan

Succeeding Stephen Kent, who held the role for seven years, O’Sullivan’s position will be effective on 1 November 2025. Previously, Jean O’Sullivan was Chief People Officer at Bus Éireann for seven years, being central to shaping the company’s People and Culture strategy.

Commenting on her new appointment, Jean O’Sullivan said, “It is a privilege to be appointed CEO of Bus Éireann at such a pivotal time. I look forward to working with colleagues, the Board, stakeholders and communities across Ireland to build on our strong foundations, driving innovation, enhancing customer experience and delivering sustainable, inclusive transport solutions for the future.”

Laura Faulkner, Director of Shared Services
Bank of Ireland

Laura Faulkner has been appointed as Bank of Ireland’s new Director of Shared Services. Bringing over two decades of senior leadership in financial services, Faulkner joins BOI from Nationwide Building Society, where she held a Director of Business Services role.

Commenting on the appointment, Ciarán Coyle, Group Chief Operating Officer, Bank of Ireland, said: “Laura’s arrival comes at a critical time as we continue to evolve our operating model to support Ireland’s economic growth and deliver best-in-class services. Her leadership will be instrumental in driving efficiency, resilience, and innovation across the organisation. We are delighted to welcome Laura to the team.”


Jack Hickey, Head of Corporate & Public Affairs
Wilson Hartnell

The strategic communications agency Wilson Hartnell has recently appointed Jack Hickey as Head of Corporate & Public Affairs. Prior to this, Hickey spent four years as VP EMEA for Communications at the fintech firm Fiserv.

Hickey brings global financial and corporate communications experience to the Wilson Hartnell team, having led complex communications projects across Ireland, the UK, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and the US.

Commenting on his appointment, Jack Hickey said, “I am incredibly excited to join Wilson Hartnell, an agency I’ve long admired for its strategic prowess, proven track record and deep expertise and experience across its amazing client roster that includes many of Ireland’s leading domestic and international businesses. Bryan Geary, Tax Director
S&W

Bryan Geary has been appointed as S&W’s Tax Director. Bringing over fifteen years as a tax professional, Geary has broad experience in Irish corporate and personal tax advisory.

He provides tax solutions to clients in areas such as corporate tax advisory, cross border transactions, VAT technical services, and employment taxes.

He joins S&W from Vistra, where he led the private client division advising on tax reliefs related to wealth structuring, corporate restructuring, and succession planning.

Geary brings extensive expertise in corporate taxation, with a particular focus on mobility and employment taxes developed in recent years. His experience centres on supporting international corporates establishing operations in Ireland, where he provides comprehensive tax guidance to executives relocating to and from the country.

Geary’s practice encompasses employment tax matters, property transactions, and employer stock options, offering a hands-on advisory service to corporate clients across multiple tax disciplines. He has developed particular expertise in managing the tax implications of foreign direct investment, including the complexities arising from corporate restructuring.

With S&W in Ireland embracing an ambitious expansion mindset, it’s an incredibly exciting time to come on board. Earlier this year, S&W acquired Dublin-based Beechwood Partners. The deal saw 35 staff and partners join S&W’s Ireland business, which employs over 80 people in its Sandyford office, and bolstered S&W’s business outsourcing services and tax offering.
