There were new and notable appointments this week at Baker Tilly Mooney Moore, Deliveroo, Org Global Investment Holdings and CWSI.

Baker Tilly Mooney Moore
Baker Tilly Mooney Moore have added Neil Armstrong as Tax Director and Tax Trainee Jessica Harris to their growing tax advisory team.
Neil Armstrong brings 25 years of tax advisory experience to the new role. Prior to the move, Armstrong spent six years at a mid-tier practice and ten working at a Big 4 firm, advising high net worth individuals on all areas of taxation.
His main areas of focus are personal tax, capital gains tax, inheritance tax, succession planning and business structures. He also specialises in maximising tax efficiencies and cashflow.

Jessica Harris recently moved to Northern Ireland from Brisbane, Australia. Harris spent two years working for the Australian Taxation Office and holds a First Class Honours degree in Environmental Economics.
Her experience includes time spent working with the Top 500, an advisory service for Australia’s top 500 wealthiest individuals, ensuring robust tax governance was in place. She also spent time in the Australian Taxation Office call centre, assisting members of the public to complete their end of year tax returns.
Jessica Harris, said, “It is wonderful to begin my time in Northern Ireland getting started in my role at Baker Tilly Mooney Moore. They are a friendly and welcoming team who have made sure I felt settled whilst introducing me to clients and contacts here in Belfast.”

Helen Maher, Regional Director in Ireland,
Deliveroo
Deliveroo Ireland announced the appointment of Helen Maher as their new Regional Director in Ireland on Wednesday, January 25th. The company has reportedly sets its sights on continued growth in Ireland in 2023.
In this role, Maher will build on the company’s commitment to this key market, working with more than 3,000 self-employed riders and over 1,800 restaurants across the country.
Maher, originally from Dublin, joined Deliveroo from Expedia Group where she accumulated over ten years of experience most recently as Director of Market Management London.
During this time, she oversaw the commercial teams responsible for growing lodging partner business and market share in the region. Prior to this, Maher was Expedia Group’s Area Manager for Ireland and Wales.
She will have responsibility for Deliveroo’s commercial and operational performance in the Republic of Ireland and also Northern Ireland. She brings a wealth of experience leading commercial teams to grow revenue and helping partners maximise their potential.
“I’m really excited to take on this new challenge with the Irish team — I’m passionate about food, growing companies and supporting partners in reaching their business goals,” said Maher about the appointment.

Seb O’Connell, Group Chief Executive Officer,
Org Global Investment Holdings
Org Global Investment Holdings announced Seb O’Connell as incoming Group Chief Executive Officer on Tuesday, January 24th. He will take up his appointment on March 2nd.
Org Global Investment Holdings is the group holding company for Irish owned global talent services firm Morgan McKinley, business process managed services company Abtran, and advisory firm Org.
The Group employs 3,000 people worldwide and had combined annual revenues of €350 million in 2022.
By advising clients, resourcing their operations and delivering managed solutions to complex issues, the Group connects specialist talent with leading employers across multiple disciplines, industries and geographies.

O’Connell is an acknowledged global industry leader in talent and managed services, having served most recently as President for Global Markets at Cielo where worked for eight years.
Prior to this, he was a Managing Director, and member of the global leadership team, of global talent company Randstad Sourceright, and formerly Sales & Marketing Director of Spring Group PLC (acquired by Adecco in 2009), among other senior management roles throughout his career.

Des Ryan, Group Chief Operations Officer,
CWSI
CWSI announced the appointment of Des Ryan as Group Chief Operations Officer on Tuesday, January 24th. Ryan joins CWSI from Microsoft Ireland where he served on the senior leadership team and held the dual roles of Director of Solutions and Director of Cyber Security for the company.
As Director of Solutions, he led the technical and solution sales specialist teams for the Irish market and held commercial responsibility for driving new business, solution sales growth and the consumption of cloud technologies.
As Director of Cyber Security, he led Microsoft Ireland’s response to cyber security incidents impacting customers and was the Microsoft spokesperson on cyber security.
Ryan has over 20 years of experience in technology and business leadership roles across multiple markets including the US, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, and Europe. This includes 12 years at market-leading systems integrator NTT (formerly Dimension Data), where he held several executive roles and was responsible for the definition and execution of its go-to-market strategy.
In his new role, he will manage all aspects of CWSI’s customer delivery including service desk, professional engineering services, pre-sales, and project delivery. Ryan will be responsible for shaping and evolving the offering for customers across CWSI’s portfolio of mobile and cloud security, compliance, and productivity solutions.
The appointment further strengthens CWSI’s Microsoft practice and will accelerate the development of its Microsoft business in the UK and Western Europe through the recent acquisitions of AVR, BLAUD and mobco.
CWSI launched its dedicated Microsoft Security and Endpoint Management practice in 2019 and since then, has invested more than €2.5 million in its ongoing development.
CWSI is a Microsoft solutions partner for both Security and Modern Workplace, was the first Irish Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP) to become a member of the Microsoft Intelligent Security Association (MISA), and was named Microsoft Ireland’s Security Partner of the Year 2022.
