Donal Sullivan, CEO, 
Future Planet

Future Planet, the sustainability AI platform, has announced Donal Sullivan as its new CEO, welcoming the sustainability leader, who will lead its efforts to guide companies on their sustainable journeys and combat climate change. Future Planet’s SaaS AI platform enables companies to accelerate progress on their sustainability ambitions at scale, helping chief sustainability officers, to align and empower their organisations, to accomplish more at speed, using Future Planet’s world class technology and tools.

With 25 years of experience in the technology industry, prior to Future Planet, Donal held senior global executive roles in Johnson Controls, Tyco and Flextronics. He is a recognised authority on sustainable buildings and how technology can be used to accelerate sustainable progress at enterprise scale. Donal has been a leading voice on low carbon, sustainability projects around the world, with a great example in his home city Cork, where he oversaw the build of Ireland’s smartest building as global HQ for Johnson Controls at One Albert Quay. 

Throughout my career I’ve seen first-hand how technology can support sustainability, and I’m incredibly excited to be joining a purpose led, innovative disruptor like Future Planet.

Created by software entrepreneur Donal Daly and sustainable supply chain expert, Ingrid De Doncker, Future Planet is a cloud-based platform that maps out and builds a company’s sustainability journey, from maturity assessment to recommended actions and ultimately a transformation plan. All this is underpinned and mapped to the world’s sustainability knowledge and the vast array of policies, laws and metrics governing sustainability.

Paul Culbert, Head of Sales for Business Markets, 
Welltel

Welltel, a dedicated business communications provider, is today announcing the appointment of Paul Culbert as Head of Sales for Business Markets. Paul brings 20 years’ experience in sales and business development across multiple regions and market segments to the position.

He has an extensive background in recruiting and building high-performing sales teams with a passion for leveraging digital transformation to create a better customer experience and drive mutual growth. In his new role, Paul will lead a sales team focusing on SMEs and mid-market businesses across Welltel’s entire portfolio including unified communications (UC), telephony, cloud contact centres, connectivity, cybersecurity and managed services.

Prior to joining Welltel, Paul spent six years with Vodafone Business, holding senior positions across various areas of the company. As a Digital Sales Manager, he headed up teams focused on digital sales and business development in the Northern Europe and UK markets. Before this, he oversaw partner management for Vodafone’s OneNet Business arm as a Channel Account Manager.

Previously, Paul was Government Account Manager for eircom Business Solutions. He also spent three years as a Business Development Executive for 02 Ireland, acquiring new business in the southeast of Ireland.

Welltel is currently on an upward growth trajectory, supplemented by a combination of strategic acquisitions and organic business growth.

Simon Hill, Non-Executive Director, 
Bundledocs

Bundledocs, the cloud-based document bundling software provider, has announced the appointment of Simon Hill as its new Non-Executive Director.  Simon is currently the CEO and co-founder of Xperate, a UK based software development company which offers consultancy services to the wider tech community. He has previously worked in CEO and senior leadership roles for Tikit Plc, BT Group Plc, and TFB Plc. Simon brings over 20 years’ experience to Bundledocs, having worked across the technology sector servicing industries such as SMEs, legal services, and professional services. 

Speaking on the appointment Brian Kenneally, Bundledocs Founder and CEO said, “Simon has a notable track record of growing businesses and delivering strategic transformation across the legal tech industry. Simon is widely regarded as a serial tech entrepreneur and his insights and experience will undoubtedly be invaluable to us as we continue to expand our services globally. We are looking forward to working with Simon as we further develop Bundledocs into the future.”

Commenting on his appointment, Simon Hill said, “I am delighted to have been appointed as Non-Executive Director at Bundledocs. Since Bundledocs launched in 2019 I have admired their vision and growth across territories. Having seen how much Bundledocs has achieved to date, I was interested in getting further insight into their operations. I am looking forward to working with the team to assist in their ambitious growth plans.”

Bundledocs has over 1,000 clients in over 34 countries. They have become the market leader in the electronic document production space, working primarily with the legal sector. In late 2020 they were the first electronic document bundling tool on the market to receive ISO 27001 compliance.  


Dr Kieran Murphy, Occupational Health Provider 
Cognate

Cognate Health has announced the appointment of aviation medicine specialist Dr Kieran Murphy as an Occupational Health Provider to lead its new aviation medical service. Dr Murphy is a qualified pilot with 330 flight hours and has been a practicing aviation medical examiner since 1998. This new specialist service from Cognate Health, a leading nationwide occupational health provider, offers renewals and revalidations for pilots, cabin crew, air traffic control and flight service officers.

Dr Murphy graduated from University College Cork in 1978 and practiced as a GP before entering aviation medicine. He has been a member of the Irish Society of Aviation Medicine since 1995, trained as an Aviation Medical Examiner in 1997, and undertook further training in 2007 to allow him to deliver Class 1 renewals.

On his appointment, Dr Murphy said: “I am delighted to join an innovative company like Cognate Health as it creates new pathways of delivering critically important health services to a range of industries. This is a crucial time for the aviation sector as the industry recovers from the pandemic and begins to rebuild. From pilots to air traffic controllers, it is important that everyone in the industry has up-to-date medical certificates, so they are ready to work as the aviation industry grows again in the coming months. Cognate Health’s new service will assist with this, offering greater choice and convenience for many aviation personnel.”

His appointment comes in response to Cognate Health’s rapid growth, with the company recruiting nine additional practitioners and nurses in 2021 and growing its client base by 35%.
